I try to. We will see how it works.
This week hubby stopped at a plumbing and electrical company in another town, received confirmation that they can do the work we want, but failed to get an appointment set.
He also did not give them some information they needed. I tried. I know they saw what I wrote. I also told them I need to set an appointment. So far no response.
I just went to the Seal Beach Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center and left them a message about @Hatley . I told them that there were many of us that would like to help her, but we are all friends of hers online. We shall see if I hear back from them.
I will give up and call the plumbing company and talk in person.

Sometimes it's better to do it the old fashioned way. Hopefully the plumbing issues will be sorted soon.
I am just glad that we have a point of contact with Hatley now. I hope that she will be able to get a notebook or laptop soon. Unfortunately, I won't be able to donate to that cause.

Another lotter has suggested a "go fund me" but I am afraid it would mess with her financial aid. However I did suggest it to her son.

@GardenGerty If he sets it up and it goes through his bank account and he purchases it, it should be fine.
Another option would be to send visa prepaid cards. I don't think that would mess with her financial aid or SSI or SSD.

I sometimes like to see if I can contact businesses that way. I can say what I want, in writing, then edit it if need be, before sending it.

My big deal is that I want them to know she is not just some forgotten little old lady. Hubby said more about the plumber today so we should be good there.
