OMG! A Roseanne Re-Reboot

The tv show 'Roseanne' came back this spring with high acclaim. It was a smash hit. But Roseanne made some offhanded racial remark on Twitter and so ABC cancelled the show. Now they have made a settlement with her and she will have no financial or creative stake in the new sitcom. The new version is to be called "The Conners" and will air this Fall. They aren't sure how they will write Roseann out of the show. That should be interesting. The entire cast will be back for the remake.

I don't think the Conners will last long without Roseann. Why is it that the View can spew hate every day and it is okay?

@akalinus Because they are liberals and liberals can say whatever they want and not be held to account. It's just an unfortunate truth. And liberals say some pretty mean-spirited, hateful things. It boggles the mind really.

The way to show disgust is not to watch the sitcom.

I have actually been slowly pulling away from spending any money on Hollywood by tuning out and not ordering movies etc. I'd rather read a book.

I had hears some sort of itch about that. Well, not that it would have her written out of it, but that they were going to re - re start it. I only saw clips of the remake. I wonder how they will work it.

@porwest I seriously can't find anything to like about her. I don't care about her politics - that doesn't bother me - I don't like her as a person in general. She's like fingernails across a blackboard.

Personally neither did I. Liberal or conservative. Her antics outside the show were just in poor taste. However, she has met with MORE disdain ONLY after she said she supported Trump. For that reason alone I think she deserves support @just4him. She is being demonized by the left ONLY because she is now for the right. And that is more disgusting than anything she said online.

They did a spinoff because they were obligated to honor actors' contracts so better to work them and than pay for nothing in return. It's all about the money.

@JamesHxstatic But yet Sarah Bee can call Ivanka Trump a feckless C word and still keep hers. No. Roseanne did not deserve to get fired.

I wonder if they will film it before a live studio audience like they did Roseanne. I think it would be funny if the audience shouts "We want Roseanne" to where they can't film over the noise. It's going to fail.

I LOVED Roseanne and the reboot as well. I have mixed feelings about her show being cancelled. I probably will watch "The Conners" because I am curious and I am really happy the rest of the cast and crew still have their jobs.

I saw both. The reboot just had a different story line. I am curious about The Conners. I doubt it will go far with the mom. Her laugh and all was a main ingredient.

I loved the orginial show, and liked the reboot. But Roseanne royally screwed up and deserved to lose her job. And I'm glad that the others have their jobs back with this remake. Which I'm hoping will be good. As roseanne wasnt my favorite in the others. Dan, and Darlene were.

@Courtlynn She did not deserve to lose her job if people like Bill Maher, Sarah Bee, and countless others have theirs after horrible comments they made.

A without Roseanne is like the Three Stooges without Moe as their leader of the comedy team. About Roseanne's comments if I were Valerie Jarrett, I would have called Roseanne a "Poor Devil" since if something is not true, then let it go.

I read about that today. I saw their first show with Rosanne and I didn't like. I felt like they had all lost their touch. It seemed nothing like the series.

I think it is going to flop. You can't take the star of the show away and hope for it to be a success. They should have just let her make an apology like so many liberals are allowed to do and let her keep her show. But there is a real double-standard in Hollywood. If you are a liberal you can say whatever you want. If you are a conservative you held to account.
