What’s your type?

I chanced upon an old ex boyfriend on FB commenting on a common friend’s photo and memories started to flow. We broke up because he needed space. (He wasn’t an astronaut though.) The next thing I knew he had another girlfriend. It was terrible but that’s life, yeah? Everyone has their fair share of broken hearts blah blah blah. Anyway, out of curiosity I checked his account and browsed his public pictures. He has his own family now but what I find odd is his wife’s distinct resemblance to me. I mean we could pass as sisters. The same thing happened with the one he chose after he got rid of me. That girl looked a lot like me too. I mean physically. Well, seems like he has his type. And I’m glad he settled down already. His sons are so cute.
How about you? Did you end have having a distinct type of man/woman?

Hi Sherlocked. Yes, I do. My husband is not exactly what I hopef for. He is beyond what I wished for.

hmm.. do you wonder if it's you he thinks of during their moments of passion ?...
Anyway, I was so in love with Clint Eastwood that when I first met my first husband, he resembles Clint Eastwood..When that marriage ended, I decided to fall in love with Richard Gere .. My husband now looks a bit like Richard Gere .. lol .. except the body .... But he made me feel pretty ..

I think it's common for a lot of other people to dream about what their spouse might look like. I had my ideas and when I first began dating my husband's he asked what I thought about him. I told him he wasn't my type. I married him anyway because I could be one hundred before finding my type and he could be a jerk.
I've never heard of people going back to dating those that looked like their previous partners before
BTW, I didn't know you were a girl until now unless I just forgot.

Love the story between you and your husband. Good thing he didn’t give up on you when you said he wasn’t your type. How long have you been married if you don’t mind my asking? And I’m a girl Marsha-san, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her. Hehe

My type of guy when I was single was an executive looking, neat and clean, fair skinned, preferably white. I ended up with the opposite type of guy.

I think most people have a type, I, however, did not marry my type, I fell in love with someone who was not at all my type.

That is a very difficult question. I will have to think carefully before answering. I think I have got some sort of amnesia re: this matter. Hang on, I never really had many boyfriends (they chased after me while I ran. Too busy running to notice how they looked like really!).

@sol_cee No clue how they really looked. There were a few who proposed to me. They scared me too badly that I hid from them right afterwards. AND promptly forgot their names and faces. Now I tried to find out who they were (so that I could spy from FB) but no clue really. Ah, they were all dark hair, tall, solid. (I tore any pics I got of those guys the moment I got married so that was that!)

It would be awkward to meet them in person. Especially if the wife will discover you were her husband's ex.
I ended up with an amazing husband, not similar as previous exes but way way the best. I haven't yet see who those others ended up with. Uhm, I saw one, one was similar though, we are both morena. :)

That bit about the type is correct.
I mean I always like curly hair.
But I ended up where I started so I don't know if I would have gone for another of the same type
