Eight Years Down

A week ago tomorrow was my eight year anniversary with the fiance
However, with the day being the day after my daughters birthday, it is always tough for me to celebrate. As I'm obviously still upset over not being with my daughter on her day. Which is why I didn't post about it here.
But, the fiance had came here on our day. Even though he was supposed to come days before.. And he brought me the usual, chicken parm with ziti.
After we split the food, we spent a few hours cuddled up watching tv, and talking about our favorite memories together. Which was very nice, plus helpful for trying to get over the day before.
We also took a few new photos together, which he of course didn't care for.. but I uploaded them to social media anyways, and will be printing one out for my wall of our photos - soon.
And then later on we went for ice cream, as he knows it's my favorite treat. 
. And I made us a late meatloaf and mashed potatoes dinner, as it's one of his favorites, as well as mine.

It is hard, and I don't wish the pain - or loss of a child (in any way) - on anyone.

Thank you, It's my favorite of the few.
But it makes me laugh, because looking at it I look younger than I am, but looking at the one I did on my daughters birthday with my mom the day before, I look older - or my age (26).

Aww that is great. 8 years a long time. Most of my friends from high school have already been married and divorced by now while my longest relationship was 2 terrible years. So good on you! To many more and to many more smiles you bring each other!

It is, a very long time. And we've sure been through it off and on. But we don't give up easily.. thanks.
Most of the people I know are either married and "happy", or from one person to another. There is no in between for any of them, lol.
My only other relationship was about 1 - 1.5 years. And wasn't the best.

Its a very nice picture of the two of you, and it sounds like it was a pretty good day that you spent together.

It sure is.
I never forget to smile.
But its also hard to be happy. As i wont truly be until my daughter is on my life again.
