My Journey to Success: Part I

United States
July 2, 2018 9:03am CST
I've been writing almost all my life. It's what I most enjoy but have procrastinated on submitting &/or showing my work to almost anyone. My writing is very personal to me because it relates to my life journey. I peaked at a young age and my life hasn't been great from there. I consider myself a "creative entrepreneur" because I find creative ways to find work. Whether it be research studies or trying to find work online from home. I've had this vision for a while on being successful working from home since I became pregnant with my child. Due to my circumstances, I have not been able to reach financial independence successfully yet. But I will not give up!

I think you will make it. You are creative and have your whole life ahead of you. What are research studies? Is it something you do online? All writing is autobiographical in some way. The thing you could do is write about certain periods of life and leave out what does not enhance the article or story. It does not need to start with day one or be chronological. Show how you or the character you create have grown and changed through these experiences.

Research studies can be done online or in person. The in person focus groups are where you can make most money at one time, but it can sometimes be difficult to get into the focus groups. Alot of these options come from doing surveys online and then being invited to do a research study &/or a focus group. Thank you for the encouragement for my writing. I also sometimes go to a writing group but due to my situation I haven't been as mobile as I'd like.

@TishaMears I am not eligible for surveys so I probably can't do that either. Writing groups are good. I have attended several over the years. The others can be encouraging but some are not. It depends on the members and the group dynamics, how much you meld together or stand apart.

Creative entrepreneur. Hmmm ... I like that. You have a great talent there and great things should be shared and not keep to yourself. There are ways of doing it and I think you will be a great success once you're done.

@TishaMears No, you don't have to pay anything for it but you would have to qualify for it. Just get your blog up and running first.

Yes. I like the title creative entrepreneur, too. I think it better describes me. I'm trying to get a blog up and running to share my ideas. Writing is definitely a good niche to financial independence once you get a good fan base... I'm trying to be patient on working towards getting that fan base. Thank you for your encouragement.
