So Much Fun Last Night

Last night was a great night, our little town did their fireworks display and held a concert with "38 Special" as the band. They sing, Rockin Into the Night, Teacher Teacher, Back Where you Belong. It was such a good concert, vendors set up all over and fireworks over the lake.
The wind, however, did rear its ugly head in the middle of it blowing food and bags of chips off the vendors tables. Thank goodness the people here are so nice that everyone was pitching in to hold down tents and pick up items being blown away.
The fireworks were amazing, and to top it off, the people we were sitting next too (out of the thousands there) moved here from the same town we did in CO and she worked for the police dept during part of the same time I did and we worked with the same cops. Small world indeed, so nice to share those memories with someone here.

Glad you had a great time out on the town. We stayed in, bough some fireworks and set them off in the yard. My oldest son has it down to a science on presenting them. I almost feel bad that he puts so much work in just for us but we do enjoy them.

it was fair. not near as bad and noisy as last year. i just watched tv in my room of course.

That sounds awesome. I have seen 38 Special in concert and they put on a good show. Glad you had fun.

@cintol So glad you enjoyed it. I miss going to concerts. Ft. Bragg usually has a good fireworks show and a good concert but I have not attended in ages.

We had a family bbq on the 4th of July with our daughter and her family. It was a pool day and we had a great time.

@BelleStarr I bet, the yard here is so small we don't even have room for much of a patio let alone a pool which is a bummer. Would love to have one to BBQ around.

@cintol I used to underestimate the power of the wind until one windy day while I was walking and a man who was riding his bicycle almost hit me because the wind was blowing so harshly and umbrellas were flying all around us as it was a sunny day too. And not to mention the skirts. The skirts Cindy-san. That was a terrible-hilarious day. So I respect the wind. hehe
