Happy 4th of July peoples! Today I'm thankful: 1. That my dog isn't afraid of fireworks like so many are. Since the whole neighborhood sounds like a war zone tonight I'm glad he's chill about it. 2. A few snuggles with my oldest child before the little brother interrupted. And that he doesn't think he's too old to cuddle. 3. My MIL cooked supper so when I got off work I was able to have a meal at her house. Didn't have to get out of the chair once! (Meals at home have me hopping up and down and up and down helping the little ones) 4. I have a bed waiting for me, and I think I'm going to go crawl in it. I'm a tired woman.

Me too! Sometimes I say I'm only still married so I get to keep my mother in law.

You are absolutely in heaven, girl. =) I was surprised that my dog isn't afraid of fireworks, either. I let him out to do his business when suddenly a fireworks went off over a tree. I jumped but he did not even bother to look. He was swagging his tail as he walks.

I'm glad your dog isn't afraid either. It can be a hard holiday for the frightened pooches adn their people.

I love it when other people cook! It really does help give time to enjoy the meal with family without having to do the hard part!

Oh no! My kids like to eat out, but they also like the same things at home. (Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes mostly). I made a box of Kraft mac n cheese once and my oldest said, "This is just as good as Red Lobster!"

@nonersays me neither nor is my family! My kids would much prefer eating out than my cooking! Unless I'm making a salad with rice or pasta with veggies! "mom can we eat out?" my 7 year old! "I made dinner already" "I know" my child again
