Surveys, did you ever notice

I belong to a site that has surveys. They will often list them on a home page of a sorts. The page will say "take this survey, only 7 minutes, and earn 60 points" as an example. Then you take the screener. Which may or may not take seven minutes. The actual survey comes up, and "Surprise!!" it is a 25 minute survey. . . for which you do not qualify. Even though initially it said "you have been pre approved." So, I attempt surveys. Often to no avail. Sometimes it pays off, but not usually on that site. I do surveys on Pinecone, and always am approved. I like that best.

I do not waste my time with surveys anymore. Most of the time "Switzerland" is not interesting for surveys.

They are so picky about who you are, how old you are, where you live and with whom.

@LadyDuck Oh, I agree. They harvest our demographics then say we do not qualify.

@GardenGerty They know from our IP in which country we live. What I dislike is the fact that often they make you go through many questions before informing you that "your country does not apply for this survey". Check the IP before asking questions.

Is Pinecone a survey site? Is it available for international users also?

@amitkokiladitya yes, she did answer you correctly. It may be that sometime this type will come to your country.

Yes, Pinecone is a survey site, available for Canada and the US. I don't know if it's available for other countries, as it deals with products and product concepts, and occassionally will send a product for testing.

@BarBaraPrz this is sad. I really wish we also have this kind of site.

Yes, Pinecone is the best. Then there's the ones that say "Here's a fun survey that'll take 30 minutes..." That's NOT fun! Fun surveys take 5 minutes or less.

@GardenGerty Oh, yeah... especially the ones that don't have YOUR answer or "None of the above" so you pick a random one...

I run into the same problems so half the time I don't even try anymore. I do Pinecone as well, I make a lot of money from them every year.

@GardenGerty I went into my profile once and there was a place in there where they asked how many I wanted to receive in a wk, have you gone there and taken a look at it? Give it a try, you might get more than you have been.

I will do them for paidviewpoint, because you always qualify for them.

I have been doing PaidViewpoint for five years. As you say, you are always accepted. The daily ones pay a low amount but the time-sensitive surveys pay very well for such a small investment of time.

Surveys are a real toss up for me. It seems the older I get the less I qualify for. It is a real bummer and you are completely right about the time issue.

Yes. They want all their candidates to be young, married with two kids a boy and a girl, working full time and able to decorate their home on a shoestring.

Pinecone used to only be by invitation, but I think I finally got in when it was an offer on another site. It is hard or used to be, to get in. I hope you have some luck with it.

@GardenGerty I can imagine. How would you like to take the intro survey and then find out you are not qualified for the survey itself or the survey does not come to where you live so cannot even take an intro.

I have seen that kind of thing in the past. I don't use survey sites anymore. I tried in the past, but I hardly got any surveys at all, and I quit.
