It is no secret that Lucille Ball is one of my favorite actresses. I have probably seen every episode of I Love Lucy and The Lucy Show that ever aired. I have seen her living room set from the television show and have read several books on her and her life. So it really shouldn't come as a surprise that I am interested in the possibility of her being active after death as well. Now I am not exactly sure where I stand on the whole spirits, afterlife, ghosts etc- but regardless of how I feel these stories, sightings and experiences are fun to read and learn about. Lucille Ball died on April 26th 1989, at the time of her death she was living in a house she purchased while still married to Desi Arnaz in 1954. The house was located at 1000 N Roxbury Drive. There have been many reports of various things that could be attributed to hauntings, or ghosts. There have been sounds coming from the attic, furniture being moved and broken windows. While those things could be attributed to other hauntings other than Lucille Ball there was an occurrence after Ball's death that is attributed to the comedienne herself. After Lucille Ball died, her husband Gary Morton sold the house. The new owners started demolishing the house when a fried of Lucille decided to drive by to see it one more time before it was gone. They construction crew had started demolishing the house and were tearing the walls down of what used to be Lucille's bedroom. The friend saw a redhead peering through the fence looking at the partially demolished room looking hurt, angry and confused. The figure turned and looked in the drivers direction and he saw that it was Lucy. She then walked around the corner of the house and vanished. There have also been A lot of people have speculated that Lucy hangs around the grounds where her former house once stood because she is upset that the house she had lived in for so long was demolished. Offers to rid the currently standing house of the spirit of the beloved comedienne have been declined by the current homeowners. They say if it is her ghost and she wishes to remain on the grounds, who are they to stop her.

I’m not surprised at all. I’ve heard of many such stories as recently as last night during dinner. Loved Lucy, too!

@thislittlepennyearns . I think you liked Lucy more than I did. At a nursery school near my son’s wife’s parents many children have seen a little girl in a white dress throughout the years. The fire inspector was there doing a routine checkup and saw her, too. The head of the school is my daughter-in-law’s friend.

Or stuff chocolates in her bra? Lol. Two of the best epiodes ever. I also really liked the one where she stomped grapes. Have you been by where her house used to be?

@thislittlepennyearns As I have driven Roxbury many times I must have seen it though I wouldn't have known the exact address of where she lived.

@JohnRoberts since its a completely different house now, it probably isn't that exciting to see anymore. but I guess it would be cool to see it, just because that's where she had lived even if it was a different house. I would like to go to the museum in ny, where her house is. where she grew up.

Interesting, but I wonder why they demolished the house.

To make room for a bigger mansion of course. Remember bigger is better. Lol.

if she chooses to "haunt" maybe that's where she wants to be.

There are a ton of reports of her ghost hanging around. I want to look into the house in NY where she lived. See if there are any reports of her being there.

Well, I think she was an intense person in real life, so that doesn't especially surprise me to be honest. Sadly, I don't think she was a very happy one, despite the joy she brought to others.

She wasn't happy. Any comedian isn't happy. Comedy is a coping mechanism.
