The 'last episode of the latest collection' (I would still call it a 'season finale,' but maybe that's just my 'older-millennial/just-a-touch-younger-than-Generation-X' yearning for the good-ol`-days when we had to wait a week between episodes of the best dramas) ... It was one of those 'how things got the way they are now'-episodes ... except they were 'making them that way right now'---i.e. it's the episode we'll think of when our grand-nieces & -nephews will say, "Grand-Untly?" (SPOILER ALERT! while I explain that word ... It's what they'll call us because ... ... everybody turned 'androgenist' (like a feminist, except--rather than 'all rights for women, no rights for men'--they really do want equal rights for everybody) ... ... and decided ... ... that ... ... aunts and uncles should both ... ... be called ... ... by the same title ... ... just like ... ... they threw out the titles of "mother" and "father" ... ... and replaced it with ... ... something like ... ... 'Nooncee' ... ... Everybody gone that doesn't want me to SPOIL the ending?) "Grand-Untly?" they'll say. "How did Luke Cage become the owner-&-operator of the Harlem's Paradise club? How did he take it from Mariah Stokes (Dillard)? How did Tilda Stokes (Johnson) become such a diabolical murderer?" And questions as big as "Who Shot J.R.?" (in the '80s prime-time soap-opera DALLAS) or "What shined on their face from the box?" (in the movie PULP FICTION) or other such questions
Created by Cheo Hodari Coker. With Mike Colter, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Alfre Woodard. When a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem and must soon confro

Super heroes finales are either super endings where the hero beats his or her meanest rival or they end on cliffhangers.

Of course, but this one is-most of that AND -the beginning of a new 'status quo' for almost all the characters

@mythociate Just like my Wordgirl fan fictions where she is now working with her fellow Lexiconians her cousins Donna and Debi Isthmus and their close friend Isthmus "Panama" Squirrel.

@Deepizzaguy Sorta, but deeper---Luke Cage becoming 'the owner of the Harlem's Paradise,' etc. ... it's more on the level of "Establishing the Justice League" (not to mention "Bruce Wayne's parents dying") or "HULK being irradiated' or 'Spider-man being bitten by the radioactive spider and then seeing his uncle murdered.'

@mythociate She gave it to Luke when she went to prison and Tilda was angry. The last one I saw was when he was standing where she used to standing at the night club looking down at all the people and I cannot remember his name but came and said she is here. I thought it was Tilda but he thought it was Clair and told him to tell her to leave. Was that the one because it seemed like that was it till next time.

I haven't seen it yet. Nor I don't have any idea how the plot goes. So thanks for sharing this. It is interesting.
