There an East Asian tick that for the first time ever showed up in New Jersey last year. Now a year later it has been seen in North Carolina along with Arkansas, Virginia and West Virginia.
It is not known how it got here in America. It is a bad pest for livestock. I can reproduce without a male and it can affect livestock and humans with viral and bacterial diseases.
An exotic, aggressive East Asian tick that first turned up in the U.S. last fall has made its way to the Carolinas, agriculture officials say.

I heard about a singer who was bitten by a thick, I think this thick is what bit her.
She was confined in the Hospital for weeks and still on medication.

It is interesting that it can multiply without a male. Airports should also have insect or any microscopic stuff detector. Lol
