We did go to Shatley Springs. I did stay until Wednesday. Lily did stay with my great-aunt. But she didn't eat. I think she was stressed and one of the cats was hissing at her. It took us awhile to get there though. My uncle is getting forgetful again. He forgot where he put his sunglasses and his wallet. We almost didn't get to go. He remembered that he left his wallet at a store that morning. When we got there, I found out there was a loft so my mother and I had to climb ladder stairs. One of my legs were sore the whole time. My uncle fell going down those steps, but he was ok. My uncle's friend's wife decided to not to come the last minute which was ok. While we was exploring Virginia one night, we had a flat tire. After we got the donut on the car, we saw some shooting stars. My uncle ended having to get new tires put on his car. But I did have good time. We did see some awesome stuff. Lily probably didn't eat because she was used to one person feeding her. When someone else was feeding her she wasn't as trusting and wouldn't eat. It sounds like Lily is a bit timid too, if she was stressed at having one of the cats hissing at her. Most dogs would growl and scare off the cat. Your uncle kind of sounds like me in a way. I thought I left my tablet computer at a restaurant and went back in to see if it was there. It wasn't so I went back and checked the car and found it in my purse. I need to buy a new purse but can't find one I like. The one I have is a bit flimsly and things get mixed up in it very easily...so I guess it's time to look again. Ick! I hate shopping! It's tough putting new tires on your car, especially on a trip. You don't know where the good bargains are when you're traveling. I had just put new tires on my car a week before the house burned down. I keep grumbling that if the power company had planned their power surge a week earlier I could have saved close to a thousand dollars!

Hope your uncle managed to get a decent deal on the tires though. I'm glad you had a good time. Bill and I went on a trip across country in 2001. We went to see his son in Ohio. We had a wonderful time and I got to see a lot of things I never would have seen otherwise. I had a ball! Humm, I haven't done coloring books yet, maybe I'll pick up one when we go to town next week. (I live in the woods by a lake so we go to town once and on special occasions twice a week.) I spend most of my time designing and making teddy bears.

@JESSY3236 I feel so badly for your uncle! It seems like when the doctors do surgery on the brain it messes up some part of the person's persona, whether it's their memory, ability to communicate, physical abilities, or whatever they go through to reach the part they are "fixing". The brain is the computer of the body and is the most important part of the human. The doctors don't completely warn you what the surgery is going to do to the person, they kind of let it be a surprise to the patient's family. I keep saying that those kind of surprises I don't need. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wonderful uncle!
