I would literally die of a heart attack

I can not believe this story I saw online! A man living in central New York woke up to a shock, after a boa constrictor snake fell from his ceiling onto him as he slept! He called for help in late June and when help arrived, it was determined that the snake belonged to another person living in the apartment complex and the snake had gotten loose and it was returned to the owner! Luckily the guy was ok and not hurt. If I was that guy, I don't care if I was not hurt, I would still sue the owner of the snake because that kind of snake is dangerous and could have constricted the guy to death! How dare anyone have a snake as a pet especially in an apartment complex! There are some animals that are not meant to be pets. I really think people who have these type creatures as pets are stupid.
A central New York man got a rude awakening when a large snake fell from his bedroom ceiling and landed on him while he slept.

I’d have a heart attack immediately! I agree snakes shouldn’t be pets. They ALL terrify me!

@leapea2417 the keeping of any snakes should be punishable under law - at least 10 years in jail with no parole.

@LeaPea2417 It is just so irresponsible keeping a s**k* - I don't even like saying the word. I've had several bad experiences with the things and I still have nightmares. I love living in Ireland because we don't have any but of course there are sick people who import them and think its really cool to do so - IT'S NOT.

I used to have nightmares about snakes. In my dreams my bed was full of snakes I hated those dreams, but it would be a lot worse to find a real snake in my bed. I remember a news story from my country. A woman moved into an apartment and she found a snake in one of the rooms. It belonged to the previous tenant. I hope it never happens to me when I move into a new apartment

@LeaPea2417 I didn't know that snakes were able to crawl through bath tub pipes I hope I never find a snake in my home. I once had a classmate who kept snakes as pets and he asked me if I wanted to hold one of them. No thanks!

I heard a story about how two landlords went to inspect a third floor apartment that had just been vacated. It had an old fashioned bathtub in the bathroom. A snake was in the tub. When the animal control came, they told the landlords that snakes can crawl through bath tub pipes, that is how it got there!

Those animals do not belong to cities. I would put the owner in jail (so that he learns how a free individuals feels when caged).

@LeaPea2417 There are many wild animals that are kept in prison as domestic animals. They are not domestic and can be very dangerous.

I agree, the owner deserves jail.

I think a cat or dog would be much better! To my knowledge, reptiles can not give or receive love.

This makes me think of a sign I was on the community bulletin board near my mailbox. It is in no way comparable to a snake, but I think you'll get my point. It asked people to be a look out for a pet rat that had escaped. A pet rat?! My friend, that's not a good idea. I don't want a random rat to perhaps meet another random rat and I suddenly see rats all over the apartment complex! Get your own house before condemning us all!

My son knew a person who had a pet rat. When he told me, I thought what a crazy person!

Yikes, that is nasty. I so very much agree with you: Why in the world do people feel the need to own 'pets' like that? I'm having issues right now with pain and suffering just reading about this. Maybe I should find a shady lawyer and sue this 'pet owner.' LOL HAAAA

Certain pets should not be kept in apartments in apartment complexes. If I was in that man's position I would sue the snake owner along with the administrators of the complex. Now this post will have me looking up at my ceiling tonight.
