Earlier this year I got an American Express Charge Card and I have now got 26,000 Avios Points. I am have already bought all my flights for my April 2019 trip. I will try to learn how I can get top value out of using these points. I know that I won't be able to earn many more points because 20,000 of that was a bonus. Would you like to travel for free just paying fees? Is so would a destination up to 650 miles suit you?

You can bump up your avios if you book your tickets with Amex I have been waiting for BA to have a sale but they are very slow this year. BA are now not the best airline to travel with they are a high cost low frills airline these days!

Today I managed to move 1000 Avios over the British Airways Executive Club. I booked two flights on Easy Jet and then used the Avios points for one BA flight. If I had wanted return on BA I would have needed to have 55,000 Avios.

@garymarsh6 I notice British Airways have very expensive fights. I only managed to get a one way flight using my Avios points.

@maximax8 I have quite a few Avios but I am not using them yet. Last time I used them I used them for a Club Europe to Rome. It really depends how much I use BA as they tend to fly direct where I need to go but some of their fares are outrageously expensive for the service they provide these days.

We mainly traveled to the United States and we had the fidelity cards of the US companies. I remember that, traveling on some days of the week and times of the year, every 3 travels we had one free.

I got an upgrade to business class from the Maldives to the UK. They were short of economy seats you see. It was more enjoyable and comfortable than economy class Anna.

@maximax8 Sometimes we decided to have a "class upgrade" instead of a free ticket. For very long travel the Business Class is so much more comfortable.

It is no fee in Year 1. However there is a yearly fee of £140 after that. I plan to get rid of my American Express Card before the year is up. In the USA you have lots more travel reward cards.

With a charge card you have to pay the money off the next month fully.

The countries I am most looking forward to seeing in April are Thailand and Japan. It was amazing in India and the airline checked our visas for India before getting on the plane at Istanbul.
