Computers and smartphones are now part and parcel of life. We rely on them for the basics like email, internet etc., but they punch above their weight in their varied applications.
They bring the entire world to the small screen. They are like musical instruments in the sense though most of us have only a basic talent few can work magic with their rich expertise and repertoire to make a living tapping the same key others use to handle mundane tasks. It is like the value of zero; it may have no value by itself but when placed after other digits it can add value multifold. Likewise, a humble computer/smartphone transforms itself into a device that can take us far. It is the modern day magic carpet!
I use my computer for email, surfing the net, writing letters, occasional spreadsheets. During the latter part of my career, it gave me a sense of self-confidence when I too joined the digital world! It was exciting but also a worrying phase of my life as I did not grow with such devices.
Now all are busy tapping keys. What do you do with them? How comfortable are you with modern technology that changes faster by the day?

Just yesterday my computer wouldn't start normally and it took some hours to get it back working through the process of cleaning it! Believe me those few hours were so frustrating for me and I have become irritated because of that. Then having got the Computer working I realized that I have become slave of the computer as I almost do all the tasks on computer except for the physical tasks. Thus Computers and Smart phones have become indispensable parts of our life dear friend! Thanks!

I mostly use the cellphone as a phone. I recently learned to send messages and to receive them

I'm no expert but it is now part of life and I would be lost without my phone and computer. They can help me make a visit to any part of the world and with anyone in seconds. That is a great benefit and joy!

honestly even if i think that i am savvy with the use of technology, there are still some of the new releases or apps that i am not comfortable to use, or is hesitant to try. I think it is all about how we receive these applications or new discoveries. =)
And of course- human nature is to stick to those that we are used to. we tend to be repetitive in what we do, we have a cycle that we follow as well right?
