I really liked those shoes even if they hurt my feet

Around 10 years ago, I bought a pair of sandal type shoe with a slight wedge heel. They were a tan color that went with many of my clothes. I liked to wear them. It always started off where they would not hurt my feet but hours later they would start to hurt. I would try not to wear them all day. After awhile, they started showing a little wear, and I was determined to wear them til they fell a part. But, I ended up abandoning them one day (not throwing them out), I just decided to stop wearing them after a particular event. My younger son was graduating from High School. I didn't think I would have to walk so far into the school. But because I forgot how crowded it would be and how it would be so hard to find a parking space, we finally found a parking space real far from the building. Of course I had worn those shoes. By the time I got into the auditorium to see the graduation, my feet were killing me so badly, I took my shoes off and for the rest of the event , I went barefoot! I got home and put them under the bed. After some time, I looked under the bed and they had dust on them, I took them right then and just threw them away. Those shoes were such a pain but I liked them. I just thought about them the other day.

I had some beautiful shoes with a silver pattern. I loved them, but they were pretty uncomfortable, When my husband and I went on a mini vacation I didn't pack other shoes so I had to wear them all the time. Bad idea! The shops were closed and it wasn't possible to buy another pair of shoes. I had to walk barefoot, but at least it wasn't cold outside.

That happened to me once, where I didn't take enough shoes on a vacation.

They went perfect with so many of my outfits. I felt like I could endure it some, but they got real uncomfortable after awhile.

@LeaPea2417 I watch all of these women walking around in high heels and I think to myself, just wait, 10 years from now you will be regretting that!

I am sorry that you don't feel comfortable using the pair shoes. I also felt bad if I am in your position right now.

@LeaPea2417 I agree. I have a funny story. My shoe was broken in the public. It is too embarrassing because I cannot find any help from the people.

My feet started to hurt as you were describing these shoes. You know, I was watching t.v. earlier and came across a commercial for a device that helps with those type shoes. IT was a piece of rubber that resembles the foam things you put between your toes when painting them. It resembles them but not quite. Anyway, they are supposed to stop your foot from sliding forward in sandals and supposedly help alleviate pain. I don't know how well it works but I don't aim to find out. I'm a tennis shoes and flip flop type girl. Keep me rooted closer to the ground please.

That is interesting about the shoe device. Yes, now, I very rarely wear heels, only tennis shoes and flat sole shoes.

I know that feeling with many, many shoes. It doesn’t matter how costly they are either! I wound up wearing 3 different pairs of shoes at my son’s wedding last October. lol

Who has not gone through this experience in their younger days me included. I loved this high healed white pair. I was fascinated with a broach that was pasted on it - shining bright. I bought that pair and yes you are right. They were tight and I was tortured. But fashion took over

I know what it means to wear a pair of shoes that hurts your feet and you can do nothing, but smile to other people and pray to be able to go home as soon as possible.

I'm sorry they hurt your feet so much. I heard something interesting about heels a few days ago on the radio. The person said to buy them too big because your feet swell and become painful wearing them all day like that. Buying them too big gives your feet the room they need, and they don't hurt.

I hate it when you find something you really like but they hurt to wear, better to throw them away though as opposed to going through the pain to wear them

In my younger days I would do things like that, but I finally learned. Things that make your feet hurt can also make your knees and back and other parts of your body hurt as well.

I had shoes like that. I did wear them out so I threw them away. I had some wedge sandals that didn't hurt my feet until I wore them to DisneyWorld one year. I stopped wearing them and gave those away.
