The sound of the new diswasher.

New sounds at home freak me out many times. Am I in the middle of an earthquake? I look at the lamp and decide it isn´t. Good! Is it a thunder? Luna eating my house away?
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it Superman?
It is the new dishwasher! The new dishwasher has a very different sound from the old one I had for over 20 years. I hope it washes as well although I still do a prewash by hand that my friend Humberto says that her wife and I place the all too clean hand washed dishes in the dishwasher to wash again. Maybe he is right. I mostly trust the dishwasher to dry the dishes while I do something else.
Do you have odd sounds in your home? What are they? Why?

It is always odd to get used to a new sound. I had to get used to the ac that is in my room. It is so loud that everything I watch has to be cranked up all the way.

I had to get used first to my new washing machine. It is in my bathroom near my bedroom so I cannot wash clothes if I am watching a movie

I am more used to the sound of the washing machine than to the sound of the new dishwasher.

I don't have any odd sounds at my place, but few days back we went to my sons place in the night there was a big loud sound which has shocked me like you got! I thought it must be by some machine constructing the road....but then when I searched for the source....it was coming from my son's washing machine which apparently has got the suspensory support!

@AKRao24 Or when they have a certain rhythm, such as drills.

Hopefully you will get familiar with the new dishwasher sound and it will just fade away in time. There is a strange sound coming from the fridge - we believe it must be from a gear from the ice maker. Like a loud, grinding hum. But the ice maker is still working well - so we don't question it (for now ).

My fridge makes some odd sounds once in a while. It is as id it was shivering and about to enter in a coma stage. Fortunately, it works well. So let it yelp

The only sound that is odd that I hear is when my washing machine spins

I take great care in placing the garments in a good way so that the washing machine does not dance around

@allknowing The spinning is the worst part always.

@marguicha Our washing machine is form on its stand but it is the spinning that it does inside that makes that noise.

I prefer to open the kitchen door to the garage than to have the air exhaust noise in my ears.

The best is that the dishwasher also dries the dishes. And I can put them back in place only when I want.
