Have you ever been on jury duty?

I have been called for jury duty several times. I only got to serve on a jury one time though. I usually am "struck" for whatever reason, or not needed and sent home. The one time I did serve on a jury, the case was settled before we ever got to deliberate..That was sort of frustrating, so many of us jurors were discussing how we would have voted on the elevator on the way down. I like jury duty, despite the negative reputation it has. I thought it was fun. Nothing would make me happier then to get on an exciting case.

Thank God, no. I argued my way off the last time.

I think it is a good way to participate in our justice system.

I've never been called to jury duty nor would I want to. I don't like the idea of having to judge and decide the fate of another person. Personally, I believe only God has that right.

Well our justice system enables trial by jury, so I think it is a good thing to do. You can look at it, as being a voice of reason. One time I was on a mock jury and convinced everyone to think my way.

I was called a few times but never made a county jury. I did serve on a six person city jury once and we quickly convicted a man of malicious behavior of some kind. There was no doubt.

I received a letter to report, each time I was not needed, once I was sick so that was excuse enough. I do not want to serve, I don`t want to judge anyone.

it is not you alone, you are surrounded by 11 others. We judge people constantly all day long whether we are aware of it or not.

@andriaperry would not do... it is a civic duty in the vein of voting.
