A Cool Swim

The water was a little cool when I went swimming today. But I enjoyed it anyway. I had the whole pool all to myself and plenty of room to swim, float and do my exercise. We first went to the pool at the leasing office but it was closed for cleaning, so we went to the pool at the workout room. I was happy to find the shower working so I showered off the chlorine off before coming home. Several people were sitting around the pool. The sun had gone over and it was nice and shady. There are barbecue pits and tables just outside the fenced in pool, but nobody was using them. For me I'd much rather cook at home in air conditioning. People do use them but mostly on weekends. I did laundry after I came home and now here I am on Mylot. I surprised myself this morning. I captured a little time to get on Mylot and answer all my notifications. So I'm not as behind as usual. The picture is my granddaughter when she was about ten years old.

A dip in the pool must have cooled you off.

The water was cold yesterday. It's been cloudy lately, but I warmed up quickly swimming. I suppose that's why no one was in the pool.

Well, now you have an invitation. You come on by and we'll go swimming when you get here. The pools are open from ten to ten every day.

You did a great job catching her perfect like that. I'm glad you had a good swim. I always shower at the Y before coming home.

@RubyHawk That's great! Perfect timing on the picture. The showers at the Y are hotter than the one in my apartment, which they have preset and can't be changed, so I shower there, and only shower at home on the weekend.

@just4him That's neat, our shower at the pool is cold water. It really wakes you up when the cold water hits you.

I thought the picture turned out good. I got her just at the right time.We have a shower at the pool. I thought about taking shampoo to wash all the chlorine out of my hair but I haven't. I just give myself a good rinsing.

That's nice you could enjoy the whole swimming pool. Actually this summer I haven't swum yet. I hope to go to swim, too. It is lots of fun.

I used to go several times a week but I started late this summer. We still have hot summer days left though. Hope you enjoy a swim soon.

@RubyHawk We don't have any here at the complex so I would have to go to the public pools and things. That is no fun.

That's too bad. People here don't take advantage of our pools or the workout room. I don't know why not, we pay enough for them.

I always wanted to plunge to a swimming pool during the summer season. I can do this only in the countryside. It is not good to have it in my city because of the cold weather.

@RubyHawk The cold weather in my city is all year round, my friend. I am living in the mountainous part of the Philippines. We do have swimming pools here. But, the local people never attempted to indulge in.

@Shavkat I thought the Philippines was a more temperament climate. I didn't realize it was always cold in the mountains. So you have indoor pools where the water is heated? I'm surprised that no one goes if that is the case.

The weather in your city isn't cold twelve months of the year, is it? I used to swim in the rivers and creeks. That was fun too.

@LadyDuck To me, it's a lot of trouble to carry all your food out and prepare it on a barbecue pit when you have a stove and counter space in the kitchen. But some people can't wait to get outside to cook.

@RubyHawk - Grandkids seem to grow up much faster than our own children did, don't they? Before we know it, they are grown and we rarely see them.

@DeborahDiane They do, I suppose it's because we are older. It seems to take a long time for our own to grow up at the time, but looking back it seems like hardly any time at all.

Some people enjoy cooking outside but I'm not one of them. It's much easier in the kitchen where you have everything you need.

I think that swimming is a very enjoyable activity. I like the water to be warm and I can't swim in a freezing cold pool. I get chilly when swimming in water that it too cool. I agree it isn't good to cook outside with flies bothering. I think cooking at home with the air conditioning on much better.

I like warmer water but the pool water is usually extra cool. After the shock it feels okay. Yes, inside cooking is so much more comfortable.

You'll burn up before you cycle five miles in 100 degree heat. You must have a lot of stamina. Don't let yourself cook.

@RubyHawk I often convinced my little kids (ages ago) to go swimming with me, and in the cold water, I always encouraged them to jump up and down & play some games first to warm up. After a short while, everything was perfect as it should be .
