Out of these three, which would you take with you to read?

I had a few people inquire as to whether I would take a book or my kindle with me on my trip this weekend. My answer was no. However, new developments mean that I may end up being at my friend's house earlier in the day than I had originally thought. So I thought I might take one book with me to read since my kindle is out of the question. I might change my mind, I don't know yet. I've thought of these three : Hold Tight by Harlan Coben, Fragile by Lisa Unger or Show Me The Deadly Deer by Carolyn Mulford Out of those three which one book would you take to read? Don't base it on the title itself but please go look up the synopsis. I might also end up just having a netflix movie marathon but I am not much for television.

I'm not much for books, but Hold Tight would probably be the one I'd pick.

Yeah Hold Tight seems the most interesting out of all of them for me.

@Courtlynn Thanks! I just need something to amuse me for a few hours while I'm the only one in their house.

Yeah. I could even take a thick volume that I just bought today. "Forever Amber". It's historically based and I believe it was written in 1944 and mostly banned then republished recently. It was made into a movie as well.
Abandoned pregnant and penniless on the teeming streets of London, 16-year-old Amber St. Clare manages, by using her wits, beauty, and co...

@marguicha I hadn't, atleast not until today. I am sure it will take me atleast a month to read it all, and that's only if I read from it every day.

I don´t take paper books to read now as they are too heavy. When I go to a resort, they usually have a small library of used books. If they don´t have, I buy a magazine.

I should have clarified. This would only be taken to my friend's house and not on our trip to Ohio.

@ScribbledAdNauseum How long will you be there?

I've read Hold Tight and it was good. However you might not want to bring a book that grips your attention and spend your time reading instead of having fun

@Marty1 He writes good books and usually mystery. If you can get one at the library you should and see if you like it. If you don't you can always return it

@Marty1 I don't think I'd ever be able to read all the books I want if I worked in the library and had all of them at my fingertips. Harlan Coben has some good books so whenever you get around to it pick one up. There are so many good authors out there that I have trouble deciding which books I want to read next.

I would take Fragile. Are you taking your laptop or no?

Nah. I sometimes take my tablet but I'm not sure I'll do that either. Probably just my cellphone and my bag. I anticipate buying a few things while on my trip and I don't want to have to carry a lot back home. I can get online through my phone at my friend's house but I don't like to mylot through my phone.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That makes sense. I myLot on my phone because for a long time that is all I had to do it on.

My opinion won't do you any good now but I would have voted for Harlan Coben. I am liking his books that I have just gotten into recently. I am trying to read his series in the right order but it is hard to find them that way at the library. Either they are checked out or they don't have them all. I don't know which.

I ended up grabbing up a John Grisham book. I didn't get the opportunity to read it though.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Well at least you had it just in case you needed it. John Grisham is always a good choice too.

I do not really have the time to check the synopses, so I really could not say. I do think it is wise not to take electronics. I probably would opt for magazines to read. I will have to choose some reading material for the next time I go to sit with dad.

I don't think I will take this book with me to Ohio. I will probably leave it at my friend's house. I would do the same if I was taken my kindle.

I ended up taking a John Grisham novel but then only reading a page or two. I ended up watching television with my brother in law.
