What I'm Reading

It's summer and I've stepped away from my usual mystery/thriller books and I'm reading a good book called The You I Never Knew by Susan Wiggs. It's what I would call a beach read. The book is about Michelle who comes home to Montana because her estranged father needs a kidney and she's a match. She left home when she was 17 and pregnant and comes home with her son who is 16 years old. Of course she runs into the father of her son (Sam) who never knew she was pregnant and is surprised when she has a 16 year old. It's a predictable story but enjoyable nonetheless as it unfolds. I've read many Susan Wiggs books and I've never been disappointed. She has a wonderful way of painting a picture of Montana as she tells the story of Michelle and her return home. That's what I'm reading..... What are you reading these days?

I do enjoy her books and although this sounds like a typical book, I'll give it a read. Have you read Amy Snow by Tracy Rees. It's a few years old, but I couldn't put it down.

I was given a book by C.J. Box and got hooked. I'm now on book five, Out of Range, a Joe Pickett novel. He is a game warden in Twelve Sleep Wyoming. The books are full of edge of seat events and the author describes the characters, locations etc so well you can visualize and "see" it all. Tomorrow, I'll be through and start his next In Plain Sight. I have quite a few other books sitting waiting to be read and I do tend to read more than one at once but this is my focus for now.
