Getting old...

Recently I noticed that even with my eyeglasses on, I still find it a bit hard to read. I even told my son I might be needing a new pair of glasses.
So last week, I went to this shop with stylish eye glasses and brought my prescription with me. The doctor checked my eyes and told me that my astigmatism is now cured, but my vision has deteriorated a bit. To which he added, "it's normal as we age..."
Damn doctor, you're too honest! 
So now, I'm wearing my progressive glasses while mylotting but I feel my eyes are needing the new pair. Won't be ready until the 8th of August though coz they ordered a special HD progressive lens for me.
Hope they'd send me a message before the 8th that it's ready for pick up. I can't wait.

I too had to change my specs very often before my cataract surgery! Now got operated both the eyes for surgery I am comfortable now! Nice to know that you are getting special HD progressive lens!
Hope within a weeks time you will receive it as promised by them!

I chose a very light frame and the lens is super light too. Same as the one I'm currently using now.

@toniganzon It is one of the things we need to do very soon. We also need to get hearing aids which I am NOT looking forward to.

We need adjustments and new glasses from time to time. That's life!

I started wearing progressive glasses when I trend 38. I'm 40 now but nobody could really guess my age. They all think I'm in my 20s.

Yes, it's normal as we age- the deterioration of our vision. My reading glasses are not at 250. I mistakenly bought a 275 grade reading glasses a year ago. But now when I tried it, it is already okay now with my eyes.
My reading glasses are not the expensive ones though, unlike yours. Mine are the ones being sold at TGP pharmacy. Since they are not expensive, I bought 3, for the house, for my bag, and for the office.

I went to an ophthalmologist and I had astigmatism and reading glasses is not something that I need as it won't be comfortable when I'm using my computer.

I started using vision eyeglasses about three years ago. I cannot read without using glasses. I do whatever it takes to take care of my eyes. I have bac ache that bothers me but Doing fitness, I get rid of it

I don't have vision problems actually. Mine is due to old age. I can do away without glasses except when I'm reading or working on my computer.

@toniganzon It's done and we had a self tour. My jaw is still dragging on the floor. Tomorrow he moves in, and I'm happy for him and his wife, but so sad. We've gotten so used to them here with us.

@toniganzon like the one in the picture? i wonder why when the shape of eyeglasses is like the one you posted here, the glasses are called Ray Ban. probably, RayBan 'invented' that frame?
