Do you love watermelons? Do you just cut up a watermelon and eat it or do you add or combine anything else to it before you eat it? When was the last time you had a good piece of watermelon?

I cut in cubes because it's easier to eat. I also like to prepare a watermelon sorbet, it is delicious.

When cut in cubes, they can be eaten with a fork. That is so ladyduck like! Sorbet? How is that done?

@1hopefulman Yes, I eat with a fork. The watermelon sorbet is easy to make. You need to prepare a sugar syrup, blend the watermelon in a food processor, add the juice of half lemon, mix with the sugar syrup and place in the freezer, or in the ice cream machine until it sets.

I love watermelon. I would slice half of the big watermelon into a bit square shape (which I know is more than enough for us at the house) put it in a container, and let it stay in the freezer for more than an hour and serve it after meals. They are so delicious and refreshing!

I put salt on my watermelon. I've also cut it up, deseeded it and then blended it with ice and a little bit of sugar to make a nice beverage.

I like watermelon but I don't think I love it. I only eat watermelon when there's one in the house. Never bought one actually. I would receive them as gifts only. And I just slice them up and eat them without adding anything.

Of course, it's hard to love watermelons. They can't be hugged, they have no fur, they can't be taken for a walk and they don't kiss you!

@1hopefulman You know I wasn't talking about that kind of love. It's just not my favorite at all in the sense that I could live without it. And even if there's tons of watermelon in front of me when I'm not in the mood to eat it, I won't. But it's impossible for me to ignore grapes. Because I love grapes.

I like watermelons. But lately I only eat them at my daughters´ houses. In my country watermelons are sold whole. And I live alone so I wouldn´t know what to do with most of it. A few days ago, I read here that a mylotter had made watermelon jam. I could try it.

Always love them and eat it alone or with other fruits. At my last home I was able to grow lots of watermelons so much that I had to give away. I was never able to do so again. Must have been something in the soil.

I also eat them alone as find that they digest quite fast and in an hour I have other foods. That's interesting about the soil. Was it is the same town or in a different town?
