Revenge is sweet

We drove through Esperance a few weeks ago and I was reminded of a story about a young stockman who was fired and thought he shouldn’t have been. His last job before leaving was to paint the roof of a big hayshed. This he did and when he had finished he went on his way. His employer was a staunch supporter of the Liberal party and unbeknowns to him, the stockman had painted, in huge letters, VOTE LABOUR across the roof of the hayshed. It was clearly visible from the road. There is usually more than one way to get even with someone isn’t there? The photo is of the old milking shed at my mother’s old home which is much less salubrious than the hayshed would have been.

A good lesson that when you fire someone you dont give them a last job to do lol

Combined with the above story, this certainly sounds reasonable.

I know when some are fired from 'office' jobs someone accompanies them back to their office while they pack their things and to make sure they don't touch their computers.

@JudyEv I think I would notice something like that pretty quickly. But that's just me. Being a salesman these days I tend to observe things.

Yes, although it is not quite as harmless..some of the people who live on the highway about 35 minutes from here have a sign that says DOG KILLER NEXT DOOR in front of their property.

Yes, there is more than one way to take revenge. The good thing about what he did, was that the owner could easily paint over it. Nice picture.

Yes, it was an easy fix once he realised what had happened.

Nice revenge ! I had once a terrible neighbor having fortified his fence with barbed wires at the top, cameras around, and signs "do not park" all around. After a voice coming from a microphone told me to park elsewhere "or he would call the police", I printed a sheet that I put at his garden door near the street, a door that he was never using, telling "Welcome to salesmen and Jehovah's witnesses". It stayed during several weeks before he noticed it.
