I'm running out of things to sell the thrift store.

While that's not strictly true, there are some things I can't get to at the moment, so I am as good as "running out of things to sell." My next trip I'll be attempting to sell a few gamecube games, a few books, and maybe a few CD's that I don't listen to anymore. I may even sell a board game or two. I'll have to decide on whether I try to use up all of my voucher's this next visit, or if I hold onto them for awhile and go back to the store when they've hopefully "restocked" things. I have a few DVDs I need to try to sell another store, and I may do that sometime soon. So yes, the "this is how much I got" posts will begin to dwindle down.

You've had a good run and maybe you'll find more fun things to do. Good luck.

I've thought of a few more things that I could sell, so maybe I'll be able to earn a little more money through that thrift store. Atleast a little more than I had originally thought. I color from time to time, but not nearly as much as I once did, and I could sell some of the books I never intend to use.

@Marty1 I do have them, and yes it does. I don't color very often. Coloring helps me with stress.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Coloring books would sell. Most people love coloring books.

I have many things to sell, but no places where to bring them and sending the items is expensive and time consuming.

Are there no websites like craigslist over there? Or something like the facebook marketplace?

@ScribbledAdNauseum A nation with only 8 million people is very small and the 48% of the population here speak German, a language that I do not speak very well. Hard to place an add and sell something.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We speak three different languages here in Switzerland, I am fine with French and Italian, but my German is not good enough to correspond with a possible buyer.

I wish I had a place to "go to" to sell stuff. My only option is online, which is a lot of work taking pictures, uploading, writing a description, deciding on price, and even WHERE to post. It's what my daughter and I decided instead of a garage sale because all the stuff is overwhelming us.

I know I am lucky that I am able to sell some of this stuff. It's been a long time coming. I had, at first, thought about going the ebay route, and I may still. So far though, this is working for me. I believe we talked about you having books? that's one of the things you are selling?

@patgalca Yeah, it just doesn't seem as if that's worth it at all, for sure. I know there are so many apps now, "letgo" being the first to come to mind. That might be something I would consider, but only under certain expectations. I had someone here ask me if I would use facebook marketplace, and the answer to that was no.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I think we may be thinking of two different things. Not Facebook Marketplace but the page Buy/Sell/Trade Orangeville which would only be viewed by locals.

How I wish I can sell some stuff here too. I have a lot of things that I'm not using anymore which I doubt selling. Maybe I don't have the courage yet to let go of things. LOl.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Is that easy? Or you think twice?

You should add up everything you got in both cash and credit and see what you made total over the last couple of months. I'm done ordering things for awhile. We are getting really serious about this move and we have enough to move already..

That's not a bad idea. I know it's over $100.00 in cash. I may do that as a later discussion, after I'm sure it will be my last trip for awhile. I do not intend to order anything online for a little while. I bought some pipette's to make things easier on me when doing lip balms.

@ScribbledAdNauseum anything I.buy until we move will either be stuff tjat I need for the mov or for when we get moved. Well besides food, and stuff like that

@thislittlepennyearns Yeah, I can't say as I blame. Every time I have moved, it's been a hassle, and I didn't "downsize" before moving. Which meant I moved a lot of things that weren't necessary.

You are fortunate to have sold so much. Places are overloaded with DVDs and it's hard to unload them.

I am glad that I am able to sell to this place. I went to a pawn shop first, and I might try to do that for some of the dvds this place doesn't take, but this place takes a lot of stuff. Even things I didn't think were in good enough condition, they took.
