I brew a pot in the morning and then switch to the Keurig later in the day if I need a cup

Nice, I really feel bad when people waste money by throwing something like this.

What an easy way to use leftover coffee! I could not stand the calories, though. I rarely have leftover coffee but when I do I let it cool then add some powdered milk, some Stevia or other no-cal sweetener, and maybe some cocoa, a little mint, or other flavoring. Still very few calories and cold, refreshing, and stimulating! By the way, if you want to make some of your own coffee creamers to use in hot or cold coffee, try looking up "homemade coffee creamer". I've found a lot of great recipes that cost very little and have even made them as Christmas gifts in pretty jars. I don't usually waste any coffee, though, because I have a carafe-type thermos as a coffee pot to keep it hot. Most coffee makers have a heated surface to keep the coffee hot in the pot but that scorches the coffee after a few minutes. That's why your coffee tastes so nasty when you get the third cup after it's sat on the burner for 20 minutes. Thanks for the recipe, I'll make that next time I'm expecting have company!

No, I've never seen a reason to brew a whole pot of coffee just for myself. I really don't like sweet coffee, I drink coffee every morning and all I add is cream or milk. When my son and daughter fixes a cup they put so much cream and sugar in it. I tell them, by the time they put all that in it, they can't even tell it's coffee. To tell the truth, I don't like Starbucks coffee, I only been there a couple of times and each time the coffee is way to strong. You could make two or three cups out of one, it's so strong. Now on the other hand, my son got in the habit of stopping there and getting coffee everyday for a while. He finally stopped when he realized how much money he was spending just on coffee in a months time. He now just brews it at home every morning.

I rarely drink coffee, but I want to make it myself at home without sugar and only given a little milk (in a cup of course).

I never throw the leftover coffee, mixed with water, It is good as fertilizer for the plant.

@MALUSE I also keep the grains, I place the grains around the plants, when I water they are fertilized. I think to remember that I had seen my grandmother using coffee grains and leftovers for the plants.

My cousin is a great coffee drinker. She always 'waters' her plants with left over coffee. They love it. Her living room looks like a jungle. Used coffee grains are even better. A barista told me that some gardeners come to him regularly to get the grains which he collects in the bar for their gardens.
