How do you celebrate yours. A festival or a religious one can still be a good way to gather together

@LadyDuck, hi Anna missing to interact with you. I hope all is well with you and the rest of your family. Our gatherings are both civic and religious fiesta. We have activities such as dancing in the street and it's a contest among schools. Battle of the bands among others and many more. And it is done once a year. It is also connected with our Tourism promotions in our place.

LOL I remember when I was still in the Philippines, we have a lot of celebrations, just to gather together. Now family members are all over the world so we don't have this much now.

@Mavic123456 Guess it's common here in Ph to have a celebration like this. And to tell you I am missing a lot of relatives that are now living away.

Living here in the city for quite sometime already so the fiestas that are popular in the countryside is not as popular here anymore. But when I was young the place I live and grew in was full of it. It usually happens this month of September and there are many celebrations happening from military parades to civic parade then we do have religious procession afterwards. It usually last to almost a week long celebration in my place.

@chavezrmc unfortunately when my grandparents passed away family was somehow went on their own ways. That’s why there’s not much to go in my province anymore.

@rsa101 sorry to hear about that. It happened to us too. That is why I am trying to show to my kids to spend time for family. They are in the city but love the rural life so whenever possible they visit.

Sometimes I'll go to enjoy it, but lately, I've stayed home away from the crowds.

We have a double celebration one for civic festival that is connected with our tourism affairs and the other one is religious. Thanksgiving to our Almighty God through the patron Saint of our town. A lot of civic and religious activities that are festive. Gathering of friends and family who have been away for years or those who are living from our places.

You are right because even those who are living far would dedicate time for this celebration.
