It was really a moment of truth between me and my online student tonight. The company's software is totally down and it affects the classes online. The audio and video are working crazy during the class. This particular student shouted at me with full blast.lol Well, I am cool as a cucumber. He claimed that I have a problem with my Internet connection. In fact. it wasn't the case. For the reason that I am using a wired connection and it is not WiFi.
I had tried my best to explain the situation, but he keeps shouting at me. His father is to the rescue. Since he can't get the main problem. I finally instructed him to call the customer service to verify it. And, I stopped explaining my side.
"Are you patient enough to handle this student?"

@ridingbet I do agree on that. Instead of making myself stressed out, I make the lessons harder. So that they can see their weaknesses.

@Shavkat it is not always us who should adjust to the attitude of our students; they should also adjust to us.

Oh that’s the risk of those using online courses. You’ll never know where the problem lies. Hopefully he could be assisted in finally solving his or your problem. I think I can understand why the frustration because he paid for that and he’s receiving not so good service. But it’s not your fault and I don’t agree to his behavior being rude to you. He may rant at customer service but not at you because you are just delivering it the best you could.

As it should be. But these online students cannot understand the situation. Even if they knew the problem is, they just brushed off the real facts. This is not the only worst case. I had experienced shouting by a student for almost an hour. I just look at her and pretend she doesn't exist. Besides, I am being paid even she acted this way.

@Shavkat That's stressful at times but we have to remain calm.

@cherriefic I do agree on that. I learned how to calm myself as much as possible. But, if it is not acceptable, I just need to unleash my bad side without limit.

I wouldn't be as calm as you were. I hope the connection is better now.

Maybe that's why you are the teacher, you have lots of patience in your pocket.

Since you are the teacher, you just swallow your pride. When you handle such situations in a cool manner, they also come down

So, you are an online teacher also. I think if I put myself into your shoe, I'll try to be patient, also.
