Yesterday I got drenched in rain and caught cold.
Now that extended to sore throat.
I rested the whole day after taking meds but nothing has changed.
I will rest tomorrow as well and if nothing changes, then i will start with antibiotics.
I will sleep now, have a good time everyone :-)
Take care and be safe

The morning was too hot and suddenly we had rains in the evening, that sudden change generally has an effect on me. It has been the same since childhood.
During hot summers also, if i come out of AC into hot weather, i get cold.
I am generally careful but yesterday i didn't cover myself properly when i was out.

Many times I would wonder - how come we often get sick easily when we just get some drench from the rain while those homeless people and the mentally-challenged do not get sick even if they get drenched during rains as they roam around the whole day (and even nights for some).

@vsai2008 I can only attribute their immunity to a Great One up there watching over them. Our first reaction though is to wonder how come they don't get sick easily or never get sick.

@vsai2008 that is good, because here, antibiotics cannot be bought over-the-counter except when we have doctor's prescription

@ridingbet i know, self medication is quite common here.
There are few doctors in my family so we consult them but it is not the case with everyone

Try taking health supplements containing zinc and vitamin C. Brew a concoction of basil leaves and ginger, add a teaspoon of honey and have it hot.

Drink lots of orange juice or consume what you have that has lots of vitamin C. Vitamin C boosts the immune system and wards off symptoms faster.
