Every week my daughter and I try a recipe we've never done before. This week we are making homemade toaster pastries and toaster strudel. We decided on brown sugar cinnamon for the pastries. For the strudel I bought blackberry preserves and peach. I've never seen either one in the store varieties so thought it might be fun to experiment. The strudel calls for puff pastry and guess what they were out of at the store! Time to make homemade puff pastry. Anything happening in your kitchen today?

Not a thing happening in my kitchen today. I love brown sugar cinnamon, when I get Pop Tarts, that's the kind I like. I know you and your daughter will make much better flakier ones! Yum

It's my favorite too, but I do like the blueberry on occasion.
