~Potty Training And Certificates~

Hey everyone. I know I haven't been here much today. Sorry about that! It has been a busy couple of days. Just working with the kids on their school work, Julian potty training and growing in my faith. =) My children earned another couple certificates on their school work and we are so proud! Julian is starting to potty train-I was holding off (even though he's been ready) until we moved but I don't want to keep holding him back. I just didn't want him to revert backwards after moving (when we do) but he insists to start so we are going for it! He went on the potty a couple times today and told us he had to go! Success!! Anyway, I am going to bed shortly since I am now exhausted. Lol. I hope you know God loves you and I pray for all of you constantly! =)

That is great that your children got certificates from school. I can see the happy look on your face. I helped potty train my grand daughter. It was a trial but she did great and with that over with we are really working with her on numbers and the alphabet.

@LovingMyBabies Thank you. It is amazing how some children can pick up on things better than others. My grandson has a hard time but most of it is cause he won't do the work assigned to him. I know that you and your husband is very proud of your children.

Hello! It's ok I understand life can be that way at times. I'm about to start a new job on Monday so I anticipate I will be busy soon enough. I'm glad things are going good with your family, best wishes. Fransmonlot

Congratulations on the kids earning more certificates-I think that its a great testament of your fine teaching skills. And little Julian, good for him for moving up to the next level at his own pace. Good night, and have a good and restful sleep.

@Juliaacv Thank you! =) We are excited that they are doing so well. Julian has been ready and finally I just gave into it. Lol. I just didn't want him to be fully trained and then have to do it over again. Oh well, hopefully it will stick even after we eventually move. Thanks, I hope you sleep well too!

That is super awesome for Julian! Way to go! Kids know what they need to do and will do it regardless of whatever timeline we want them to use! :)

@Daelii Yes I agree with everything you have said here! Including with learning anything new-reading and writing too. I have learned with my kids not to push things too hard because they will get it in their own time. =)

@LovingMyBabies They do! the other day I was hanging up clothes on the line outside. Baby girl grabbed her dresses and refused to let me have them to hang up. So I'm like in my head "great.. one of those days.. " and let her do whatever while I'm hanging up the rest of the clothes. I get done, turn around and she had two of her dresses pinned on the lowest line and was working on another. I did NOT think she could do that! but sure enough, hey, any help is awesome help! :)

I think he will be fine potty training I don't think many kids regress very often. That's great your children are doing good with their schooling. Today is the first day of cyber school for my son this year. The past three days were orientation. He is starting with a bad attitude today and I'm not liking it but he always takes a long time to adjust to things with having Aspergers.

@LovingMyBabies a friend of mine out here daughter in the same cyber school my son is in. I didn't know it until my son was logged into class and I saw the name in the student list. Our kids are in the same grade so I was all excited to see they will have online classes together.

@shaggin Actually, all of my older kids were potty trained twice because of reverting after moves. =( This Home Schooling year isn't how I want but they are doing great with what they are doing so it's ok. I hope your son can find some enjoyment this year with learning. My son has Aspergers as well so I get it.

Yes, you said before he was interested in using the potty..so since he is motivated it shouldn't be so bad! It will be good when your diaper bill is less! My son was out of diapers when he was 3, but one day he was wearing underwear and had a BM in them..yuk! That hadn't happened for weeks..oh well..such it is to be a mom!

@snowy22315 Yes but my older 3 kids were trained twice because of moving so I was trying to avoid that again-once is more than enough I think. He is insisting though so...we're trying and praying it will only happen one time with him.

@cintol I know, especially with having 5 kids! As I'm sure you know, it is expensive having a big family. Thank you!
