Money Gone to Waste

There was this person I know who had accidentally burned her cash together with the paper trash. An old woman at that time (she’s now deceased and may her soul already in heaven and pardons me). Her daughter gave her 50,000Php, that’s almost a thousand dollar (a good amount already). She might have forgotten the money where it is and while ridding those paper trashes in her room, she did not notice that it was included. She lit the papers in the lawn only to find that the cash was burning also because of its pretty good flame. She was regretful but it’s already gone. Gone in the flame.

The daughter know but they love their mother very much. She's shocked but could not save the money longer.

Oh what a tragic event seeing your money burning to flames. I guess you can only say that to charge to experience and you cannot do anything anymore.

@ZedSmart Any money is valuable what more if that was 50k. Anyway I will just keep in mind that maybe that was not meant for me so that I would not feel that bad. Good thing the daughter was so understanding that they did not blame her mother for the blooper.

@rsa101 She's that very kind and understanding for her parents and even their sisters too. They're caring and nurturing.

No way to save anymore even if they throw waters at it. Maybe it's just a small part of their earning but I considered it big already. It's still an amount.

Older folks normally had those accidents. My grandma when she was still alive, put her cash in a plastic bag along with some old receipts and put it in the trash. I always checks what she's dumping cause there might be important documents included. I've found 5k pesos inside.

@ZedSmart Of course I did. But she let me just handle her funds since she knows that she might do this again.

It is. I maybe can't sleep if that happens to me. It's hard to earn and it's just gone to ashes.

She must have been senile. My son threw away a 100 peso bill when he was in grade school thinking it was trash.

I guess in her late eighties by that time. Ha ha. The person who's able to pick it was happy.
