"What will YOU do if you see a BOY stick his tongue out at YOU?"

It is Friday night and I am almost done teaching online. A naughty young boy is sticking out his tongue at me. Personally, it is fine that he can do such a thing. He is a kiddo and needs to enjoy his childhood of being naughty. But I am quite irritated. As a good performer in teaching kids online made me a clown. To cut it short, it will affect the total duration of the class. Without a second thought, I send this photo to our chatbox and he stopped.LOL
"Do you feel irritated if someone sticks his tongue out at you?"
"What can you suggest in dealing with kind of kid?"

The worst punishment for a child's immature behavior, is to 'ignore it.' They are seeking attention and when they don't get it, it bothers them terribly! Their manipulation to get noticed, has failed!

@kobesbuddy I am pretty sure the child will stop whining about something.

@Shavkat My daughter would walk away and her child would wonder where the audience went.

If I am teaching in a classroom-type, I will do the same thing as yours. Online students are quite different in terms of treating them. As far as I could remember, one of the staff told me that "Students are like our god." A shocking statement, but I said, "I have my own God."

That's irritating but it's also cute at the same time.

I think it's our responsibility to let their parents know, hope he did not learn it at home, maybe his mom sticks her tongue out too

Why did he do that? Was he kidding you or annoyed at you?

@Mavic123456 I sometimes say this in a funny way. So that it will not result for complaint from this kid.

Oh, my! Here, it is not unheard of for an adult or a child to stick their tongue out at you. It is meant in a playful and teasing manner.
I would have laughed and done the same back at him!

@Shavkat The mother would laugh, but that is alright. It is meant to be funny!

I would just stick my tongue back, or do one of the many tongue tricks I can do, amuse them for a few seconds and then get back to work.

Like the photo. It actually depends on the circumstance and where he is doing it. In an informal setting I might just stick my tongue out at him, lol.
