Here is the next addition of music trivia tunes which uses a travel term or theme in its title. We are back on dry land for these songs, whose titles all incorporate a form of public transportation, provided to give a lift to their passengers. So, let's "Go Mobile," as The Who would say, in taking us for a ride to where we need to go. Enjoy the tune as you figure out Whodunnit.... Do you know these songs and artists? Here are your clues: 1. This English band played Woodstock but hated it. The group recorded a famous Rock Opera in 1969. They later recorded another released in 1973. Their drummer died on September 7, 1978 after taking a lethal combination of sleeping pills and alcohol. Artists have used this song's form of transportation for travel to each of their stops on tour. There have been many theories about the meaning of this song's lyrics. Is the song about simple transportation, a reference to drugs, or a favorite form of hippie travel? Perhaps a combo of all of them. 2. This British Pop Group recorded this # 5 US/UK hit in 1966. The band was known for their wonderful harmonies. Their name was a derived from their admiration for a 1950's musician from Texas, who tragically died in a plane crash in 1959. A favorite garland at Christmastime was another possibility behind the inspiration for the band's name. This song was written by future 10cc member Graham Gouldman, who also wrote " For Your Love" and "Heart Full of Soul" for the Yardbirds. Some of the songs key lyrics: a couple waiting for their transportation to arrive, a rainy day sharing an umbrella, a sweet summer romance blooms into a marriage proposal. Bonus: This singer/songwriter is not only a muscian but a world humanitarian as well. He was a key participant in the creation of the Presidential Commission on World Hunger. He is credited with being the most politically and socially active American Performer of the 1970's. The song is about a cab driver named Harry, who picks up a fare whose name is Sue, and he recognizes her as his former lover. This folk musician tragically died in a auto crash on the Long Island Expressway while on the way to perform a free concert. Liner Notes- "Going Mobile" by The Who was never performed in concert by the original members. Classic Travel Lyrics: "Keep me moving, I'm an air-conditioned gypsy." Whee Whoo Beep Beep!!!? Honorable Mention song: "Free Ride"/Edgar Winter - although no freebies riding on this transportation, lol. So Whodunnit? If your stuck and need additional "help from your friends" just let me know in your response. As always thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! 1. I want it, I want it, I want it....YOU CAN’T HAVE IT! No clue Who did it (too much?). 2. Umbrella-o? Umbrella-o??? By August this was mine. 3. How are ya, Sue... One of the most amazing performers I have ever seen live, and you’d never think that, with him being a folkie on a stool.

#2 Buddy Holly. The only controversial song to come to mind for #1 would by Hey Jude, but the Beatles didn't perform at Woodstock, so I don't know that one.

Sorry about this one. Riding on that public transportation can be frustrating as is figuring out the correct answers. I did use the Beatles, "Drive My Car" in an earlier travel quiz.... A classic Hey Jude! Trivia Answers 1. Magic Bus/The Who 2. Bus Stop/The Hollies Bonus- Taxi/Harry Chapin
The Beatles - Drive My Car Asked a girl what she wanted to be She said baby, can't you see I want to be famous, a star on the screen But you can do something...
