I’m sure most of you are familiar with Tupperware and Tupperware parties. When I was a young married, pottery parties were very popular too but the products were considered quite expensive. I think the brand was Bendigo Pottery but I can’t find anything to confirm this.
I googled Bendigo Pottery and they have been in continuous operation since 1858. Its ten ceramic wood fired kilns, featuring bottle, circular and rectangular kilns are now no longer used but are all listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.
Their large factory continues to produce all types of pottery in natural gas fired kilns. I’m sharing a photo of my two large pieces but, as I stated earlier, I can’t be sure they are Bendigo Pottery. I love the handles on the casserole and the one on the lid as they are large enough to grasp easily

I do like pottery even though I don't have any. I especially like those pieces you show in your photo.

They are quite heavy which is probably why I don't use them much.

@JudyEv It's a Japanese teapot. I found this seller on Instagram selling pots and other ceramic things which really caught my attention. This is my very first tea pot and I'm not stopping there.. I think I'm going to buy more.

Yes, I really like pottery:) My sister took a pottery class in college, then opened a shop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Now, she lives in Michigan and uses her kiln only for personal things she gives away.

Oh yes, this is part of our tradition. Long time ago when cersmics, tins and still are not used in making pans, plates among others, our old folks used clay pots

Plastic has taken over in a lot of areas but the clay pots are much nicer.

@ilocosboy Yes clay keeps water and other liquids much colder.

I remember when I was a child we use clay pot jar instead of plastic jar for drinking water. The water is much colder from pot.

I DO remember Tupperware. But I am just too cheap to waste my money on a container when I can get them every time I buy butter, sour cream, cottage cheese or something else. As for those parties...and the companies that operate within that scheme, they make WAY more money from the sellers than they ever do from the buyers, and the cost is ALL about that downline.

I love those two pots! I'm not familiar with this company, but I know a little about pottery. I live near a village that is famous for its artisanal pottery, the symbol is the Rooster of Horezu (Romania). I have some dishes and some pots and I love them .

I do like pottery, but I find most of the pieces to be quite over priced to be honest.

@JudyEv Yes, I think you are right about that. They seem to go in phases.

When I saw the movie Ghost where Demi Moore was doing pottery, I seem to think pottery is a nice hobby and could be a nice business.
I am not familiar though with Bendigo Pottery. But I have Tupperware containers before and some are still being used today, like the rice container.
