Monster Typhoon and the Interment

My uncle died of cancer on September 10th and the super typhoon is approaching the island.
Yesterday, my father called.from Pangasinan telling me that his brother and the family evacuated in the house because of strong winds and rain.
I left Manila yesterday with good weather. I am here in Pampanga to attend the funeral of my uncle. At 3 AM, my cousin told me that she felt the effect of the storm here. And when I woke up at 5 AM, I can hear the strong winds slapping the screen door.
We woke up early because today is the interment of my uncle.
How is it in your area? I heard that in the US there is a hurricane.

It was worst for a couple in Marikina who prepared for a year for a beautiful wedding last Friday. During the reception, a powerful tornado suddenly blew off the roof of the reception venue and left everything in disarray. Good thing no one was seriously injured and that the church wedding went well before that incident.

I am so sorry to hear of your Unlce Nerdideeds. It is a great loss and that dang cancer is so wicked.
I too lost my Mom to it. Just recently.
I pray for your safety in the typhoon. I am not in the area of the hurricane well now downgraded to a tropical storm.

My sincerest condolences to your family. We have experienced nonstop rains accompanied by howling winds last night. It was terrifying. Plus, the power went out for a couple of hours. The weather today has improved.
