Every year my neighbors and I get to see these really tall weeds in his back fence neighbors back yard. Both his and my back fence neighbors put 10 foot fences in because they always had german shepherds and would never spend enough time training them. In the photo above you can see the trees behind the weeds, when they dry up that idjit neighbor will burn those weeds. This year I'm calling the sheriff, fires are banned here for good reason, it only takes a tiny spark to start a fire. Do you have idjit neighbors like this one?

It does look horrible! Our neighbors all have manicured yards, thank goodness. Be sure to call the sheriff when they ignite the fire. We are not allowed to burn anything here either.

I hope they've gotten smarter this time ..... I can dream, right? Yeah, I'll call the fire dept if I see them ignite it, that way the sheriff will be obligated to do something.

A lot of people around El Paso do this kind of thing and so far EP has been very lucky that no serious fires have broken out @DianneN I won't risk it, I burn what I want to in my barbeque dillbob.

I am glad our neighbors are good people. As soon as you see he light the fire, call the sheriff.

@rebelann It is a stupid thing to do in a very dry area.

Yes it is @LadyDuck I keep any burning I wish to do in my outdoor grill where it has a cover in case of breezes or winds.

Oh boy your neighbor doesn't know how to just cut the dried branches and put it in a trash bag or something. I really think its a hazard to just burn and place you and his property in harms way.

I agree but some people think they can control the fire ..... yeah, as if that's gonna happen.

The neighbors right outside my gate. OH my GAWD. Just nasty and its not just weeds. Its trash and animals left to run and who knows what. I think to top that off the folks who used to own the place still own the bottom part- that bottom part is over run with junk cars and junk other crud. Plus nobody mows by the road. Total havoc and the county does not do anything.

I'm glad its only weeds out this way, they do have a dog or at least used to, but no trash or junk cars.

That is a good question. I'm betting the sheriff wouldn't even care to begin with, some of those deputies are idjits too.

I'm going to try to get a shot of those things when they've completely dried up, I'd think that wouldn't happen in your neck of the woods.

@rebelann Hmm, around October the leaves fall and they are a fire hazard.

I didn't expect that answer @andriaperry I just figured since it's humid there that they'd be less likely to dry out.

That way, there is surely a danger of fire.I wonder why the neighbors let the weeds grow wild.

I think it could be because they work and when it rains those weeds suddenly grow really fast. It could also be they just don't take the time to try to stop them from growing.
