God first, others next, me last. Makes the drive to work much better when you let others merge instead of being mad because you have to go to work. And a stop light is a great place to pause and meditate for a minute.

Life is like a box of chocolates, sometimes you run into a nut. Okay, I made that up!

Never forgive. Never forget.
As negative as this sounds and as important as forgiveness is, this personal creed of mine has helped me coped with life.

I'm sorry for Mary-my best friend, Deb, passed away from COPD.
I miss her every day.
I'm an optimistic person, and I laugh, even when I feel like crying, as often as I can because I know that we only get 1 go around in this life and I want to make the very most of it.

Excuse me--I thought you weren't addicted to the Internet and wasn't going to be on here all weekend!?!?
My personal credo is to get up in the morning and go from there--not too early in the morning! :O)
Having smoked 2-3 packs a day for 60 years I am always surprised how little it affected me--yes I have COPD but very mild--the biggest way smoking hurt me was plaque around my veins in my legs which it makes it difficult for me to walk more than a few blocks without my legs locking up. And, of course, there was carotid artery operation I had.
I hope things are made easy for Mary.

I don't really have a personal credo. I do think it's a good idea so I'll give some thought to it. Maybe something about not making judgements till you've walked in someone else's shoes.

@jstory07 what I have Judy I earned it.Worked all my life in earning and deserved it.
Most people out there are lazy and do not want to work.they want the government to take care of them.
No I am not thankful. Many people have the same that I have.
Remember was was born in the great depression years and we had nothing. No food etc.
Did not let this bother me.I earn money when I was a kid and smart enough to save.
I have seen too many here.are lazy, spoiked, etc. My rant. But what I am thankful is meeting you

I have great memories of Sturbridge, MA. My wife and I spent our wedding night there before heading out to our honeymoon on Prince Edward Island. We also enjoyed visiting Historic Sturbridge Village at different times of year.
I'm sad to hear about your niece.
My personal creedo is: Work to be a positive force in the world.
