Not a keeper

I recently read Iris Johansen's Stalemate. The cover blurb states "Takes you to the edge of suspense" and that it was a thriller. Sorry, I wasn't all that thrilled and certainly didn't feel any suspense. To me, it read more as a romance than a thriller. I guess I'm just too jaded in my old age.

I get those sometimes too! Sickening! LOL. I have only read one of her books and I was not impressed back then either.

I almost stopped reading it after a couple chapters, but I persevered.

I hate when that happens especially when I'm ready to get into a good book that will have me on the edge of my seat.
