The pumpkin is usually very large. I am not sure whether this is a new type of pumpkin as the one I bought lately is very small and cute. Last night I had it as dinner and I liked it. It was very soft and tasted very well. I like it more than the normal pumpkin. Have you tried the little pumpkin?

I've seen some quite small ones but not as small as the one in your photo. I love most pumpkins.

Usually I use the normal pumpkin to the soup.

Is that a little kabocha (Japanese pumpkin) - although I have not tried one quite that small. How did you prepare it? I just slice them and put them on a cookie sheet to toss in the oven - that's it.

I do not think it is a Japanese pumpkin as it will charge so high

@youless My mom gave me some of her cooked Japanese pumpkin when I went over to my parents house the other day. I guess the Japanese ones might not be as "round".

There are pumpkins of many different size. I plant the small pumpkins in my garden, because it's not a very big garden and the big pumpkins take too much space. The taste of the small ones is the same of the others.

@youless The house is on 3 floors, it's a pretty big house, the vegetable garden is behind the house and it's not big. The lawn in front of the house is bigger, but I do not plant veggies there.

I bought it from the market. It is a little more expensive than the normal pumpkin.
