(a ramble of sorts) Thats what the little label says on the bag of ice. Well I call B.S.! Shenanigans! Lies! When was the last time you heard of someone getting fat due to over eating a bunch of ice? If it doesnt have the potential to fatten you up, its not FOOD ! Only a person with anemia would consider ice as a source of food. Has anyone ever thought - "Oh i'm hungry, you know what! Im in the mood for a big block of ice! With a side of veggies and mash potatos!" "Ugh, I need to lay off the ice, its going to my hips!" "Can I deep fry an ice cube rolled in beer batter like a twinkie?" . . . Said no one ever ! To any of the above! There's no such thing as snow flakes to take the place of corn flakes. Ice is good for chilling beer, reducing swelling and sno cones. The closest that ice will ever get to becoming food is jell-o ! Photograph- Taken/Owned by me, Plethos

I love ice creams...why is it that Americans eat very little ice cream? Is your ice cream not tasty?

I suppose ice could fill your tummy momentarily but it's not really "food" - just solid H20. It'll keep you hydrated, but not give you the nutrients you need that would count as food.

@Plethos True - but then you know the food that goes into the ice chest will stay fresh as they are being digested .

Ice is not food, it's simply frozen water. You can eat "ice" in the form of a snow cone but if you are hungry you stay hungry.

Wait, I've got it ...... when the ice is frozen with high mineral water like what we have here then it does contribute something to the body, only one problem with that notion, what are those minerals

Uhm... how long can you live without drinking water, Plethos? I'm posting this as an FYI.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates packaged ice.

@Plethos Oh! So you don't bother to pay your income tax, renew your driver's license or any of the other things that can get you fined or jailed if you don't do them? Remind me to visit you in prison!

Ice is food? Yeah I think not. Not unless you're on a severe diet. Now I have heard of people who like to crunch ice, but.... it just turns into water. Lol. What a weird slogan
