With my daughter being away for the week I figured it would be a good week to take off from cooking. Why cook when I only have myself to worry about.
The only thing wrong with that plan is.....I'm hungry!!!
So, I'm cooking tonight and making a ham steak with baked sweet potato and broccoli. Not fancy and certainly doesn't take much time but it's better to have a nice dinner and eat alone than just grab something and not be satisfied.
I'm sure the pups would be happy to share my dinner so I won't have to eat alone but I tell them all the time....they don't share their dinner with me so I'm not sharing mine with them

I give up on having dinner Marilyn. To tell you the truth all I can get in this house is rice and some small meat offering or a bit of veggies. Food is too expensive these days and rice is extremely fattening to me.
So I give up on eating.

@Marilynda1225 Oh shoot Marilyn I was not meaning to make you sad no worries I am very resourceful we manage but you know it just gets old..such expensive food around here. lol

I had leftover goulash and I made an apple crisp so I had that as well, along with a small salad.

Ever since you posted about your goulash I am dying for some. I put it on my grocery list and hoping to make it next week some time.

I used to love ham.
When I was in my late 40's my body wouldn't allow me to eat it any longer.
It would raise my blood pressure and cause me a terrible migraine.
It only lasted a couple of years, so I think it had to do with the change.
But I don't eat it anymore, just to be safe.
I wonder what your daughter dined on tonight on the ship.

Mom and brother had subs from D'Angelos. I hadx wendys. As didn't want to cook and cost less.
