Do you call it dinner or supper? Well I did another vegetable dinner but different for me and Tony. Tony got large butter beans, cornbread, sweet potato and cabbage. For me it was green baby Lima beans, corn and cabbage. What as dinner at your place?

I call it supper. But actually I call it "suppy." Sort of an endearing word I suppose? "How did you like your suppy Sweetie?" is a question I often ask my wife. As for my dinner tonight, I have not decided tonight. THINKING maybe trying Spangles again, but I am not sure.

Ohhhh, how I miss macaroni! It runs up the blood sugar so I can`t have it. I would love some with stewed tomatoes, garlic and butter.

@andriaperry I know it, I only had a very small amount like one cup. I wanted to eat the whole pot lol oo that sounds good how you would have it with that stuff. Oh and we do say dinner but sometimes we say supper.

We call it supper. When I was growing up I lived on a farm and at noon we had a big hot meal, that we called dinner. There was never anything such as a lunch, that was what people carried in brown bags that worked in town. But my husband and I live in town, so we have lunch and supper.

@andriaperry My family that lives on the farm, still has a large big meal at noon and call it dinner, and another big meal at supper. I was never interested in marrying a farmer-too much cooking and eating.

I could combine your 2 into one except the cabbage. Unless it was raw. Then I would like it too.

I had pancakes. My friend at the pool mentioned she was going to the Pancake Place this morning, and when she mentioned it, I knew it was just what I was craving. I put unsweetened applesauce on them, and make them with almond flour, so they are completely diet compliant.

@just4him I like potato pancakes with applesauce and sour cream. Some would call that latkes.

So, it's already Tuesday night there already as you write this post. It's just 6:30 in the evening here in the Philippines. I love beans with cabbage also. I actually love to eat dishes with beans. They are one of my favorite veggies. I am longing for a soupy dish tonight when I get home. I hope the helper has cooked a nice dish like that.

If it's in the evening, I call it supper, but I know that in many states dinner and supper are used interchangeably to refer to the evening meal. Supper (we have the last meal at 7:30 pm) will be stew.

I took a failed meatloaf (tried a new recipe, no one liked it) and crumbled it up when no one was looking and heated it up with some Manwich sloppy joe sauce... then I realized that I didn't have enough Manwich for the amount of meat (plus I think the crumbs in the meatloaf soaked it up), so I stretched it out with some ketchup and mustard (again, when no one was looking). The kids were thrilled to have sloppy joes for dinner and no one was the wiser.
