Joe Biden On FBI Reports

In the whole circus that is the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation process, it seems like the FBI is being constantly tossed into the whole mess. DESPITE the fact that there are 6 background checks by the FBI to refer to which found nothing. DESPITE the fact that when Senator Feinstein submitted the letter that Dr. Ford sent her to the FBI they said clearly there was nothing to see here. DESPITE the fact that the FBI has NO jurisdiction in sex cases UNLESS the alleged crime happens on Federal property. DESPITE the fact that even if the FBI does do a report, it will serve no purpose in determining the facts of the allegations, and will serve no purpose to produce facts corroborating or otherwise, and DESPITE the fact that any FBI report is inconclusive and is simply a gathering of information—not a gathering of facts, not a fact-finding document, not an investigatory document. I mean, Joe Biden said as much back during the Justice Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings when Anita Hill was all the "thing." Facts and history continue to be something liberals just have a real hard time understanding or grasping.

I think the FBI investigation will be just for show an inept attempt to satisfy the masses and for what, as if anyone has a say in what really goes on. What a sham it is, all of it.

People actually DO have a say in what really goes on. Part of Trump's winning the election was based on the list of potential supreme court justices he might appoint if he were elected. And of course we have the mid-terms. People will vote largely, I think, based on this event...so we will see what happens whatever the outcome of the hearings and whatever the outcome of the mid-terms will be. I personally feel that either way, the dems are damaging the advantage they had to take back the House.

@Courage7 Unfortunately there are indeed two victims here. Kavanaugh who is being falsely accused, and Ford who is having a trauma in her life turned into a political game—I believe she was assaulted by someone. But not Kavanaugh. This trivializes her experience and also damages the credibility of future claims of real assault. The dems have done much the same thing with the reality of racism—they have trivialized it to the point and redefined it to the point that no one can take it seriously anymore since racism is now attributed to any conservative who disagrees with a liberal point of view. Damaging indeed.

Biden's comment was even stated during the hearing and still made no impression. After all if Joe Biden says an FBI investigation cannot be considered reliable then it must be so.

@porwest The bottom line is the FBI investigation is a stall tactic. That's what it's all about: stalling until the midterms.

@JohnRoberts I agree. I really believe the dems think history will serve them well and they will win back the House. Unfortunately I think they have done too much to damage themselves since Trump was elected, continue to underestimate the popularity of this president and his policies, and continue to be disconnected with the majority of American's attitudes, desires, and sentiments—and I think they will have a very hard time winning. Just my two cents.

lol. I enjoy the sarcasm there. But yes, it WAS made clear many times during the hearings by the right and I think rightly so since the left wanted so much to hang onto anything FBI thinking the American people would put credibility into anything to do with the FBI. They (the left) were going for impact and reaction while the right was going for substance.

It's not the first time recently either. In Wisconsin they tried to overthrow the vote for governor. Protests, yelling, insults, and lots of taxpayer money spent on about 16 recalls in one year. The move is on to -1, discredit elections and voting. - 2, overthrow elections through the courts, riots, mobs.

The Governor of Wisconsin, who I voted for three times, once in the recall, won that in a landslide, and made history as being the first Governor to survive a recall. At the end of the day results still matter. I take solace in that.

It was back from the Justice Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings and the Anita Hill thing, so yes. A while ago.

I think this whole circus is one of the most damaging things to happen to our country in a long time. The Democrats don't care that Judge Kavanaugh's life, family, and reputation has been ruined. They don't care that his life will never be the same again. I know there are some decent Democrats, but I really do see Satan's influence in trying to destroy our country. I don't know that we will ever be a "nation under God" again.
