With everything going on in the news this week, I have found myself getting stressed at times. As a result, I especially loved this sign I saw at the park on Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach this week. It is a good reminder to simply, "Breathe!"

This is a bit weird, breathing is something we do without even thinking, we do not need a reminder.

@DeborahDiane They should teach "how to breath", a graphic sign to show how to relax and deep breath.

@LadyDuck - Ahhh! That would be a great idea. They actually teach us how to breathe deeply in my yoga class, but most people really do not know how to take a long, slow, deep breath. It surprises me, sometimes.

@LadyDuck - Ha ha! Yes, we breathe without thinking, but when people are under stress they tend to breathe more shallowly or hold their breath more than they should. Perhaps the sign should say, "Relax and Breathe Deeply!"

You certainly have lots of pertinent signs there. It is a good reminder. Unfortunately, the news makes it difficult to breathe easily.

@DianneN - Boy, isn't that the truth? No matter how many yoga classes I take, or how many times I walk at the beach and read these signs, the current news makes it very difficult to breathe easily. Speaking of the beach, when are you and your husband planning to move down to the beach house to begin your six month stay?

@DianneN - Yes! I'm actually listening to ABC describe it right now. Thank goodness for a Free Press (which Trump hates.) The New York Times certainly has done some detailed investigative reporting.

@DeborahDiane We haven't even bought tickets! We've been hanging around for the cat, but will probably head down before the Thanksgiving rush. I assume you've heard the latest news about Trump and his tax problems from the 90's.

That is a very interesting street sign in California. The most interesting signs that I have seen on highways is the image of a rock falling down a mountain.

@Deepizzaguy - I agree. I always wonder what to do when I see that sign of a rock falling down a mountain. If a rock falls on you, the sign will not do anything to prevent it, and it would happen so fast you could not avoid it. Most of us just keep driving down the road and ignore the sign!

You are right sometimes out of our busy schedule and all the stresses that come along with it we do forget how to breath properly aggravating our stress points further to insanity. That sign post might somehow remind anyone to stop and breathe. Good thing you are conscious with your surroundings that as simple as that sign is you can easily shift to being stressed to stop and ponder on things.

@rsa101 - You are so right. People tend to hold their breath or breathe very shallowly when they are stressed. Taking a deep breath is so healthy!

@andriaperry - I know that millions of people have stopped watching the news. I think it is awful that the news is so depressing that people don't want to know what is going on in the world. I think the news should educate us, not depress us.
