Without Money, It is hard to Breath

The aftermath of my 2 weeks absent from work is pitiful. Literally, it is hard to breath. Money is really a powerful device. Now, I have a lot of bills waiting for payment and I have nothing at all. All my savings was used during my wife's labor. We've been at the hospital for more than a week because my son needed some intensive nursing. I needed to think deep but first I need to fill my stomach... Have you been to a situation that you have no money at all?

Yeah, I feel broke and felt like those people on the streets. But sadly, we can't save much because of our relatives here, we are also almost broke because of their needs, specially my grandma. Looking at your situation, I guess it's really not for me to have family, I hope you can manage. Don't let it get to you. Have hope and pray.

Well, sometimes bad luck happens big time. Though we plan everything well, things turn out to more than what we expected.

Are you a regular employee because if you are then you have the privilege paid leave for 7 days as paternity leave. If your wife is employed she can apply for SSS maternity benefits which gives her some money that is equivalent to her basic salary. Money is realy important ideally they say that to be able to survive a money crises you must have two months buffer from your regular monthly expenses. So if you spend 10k per month you must have a buffer of 20k to be able to cope up with emergencies that you meet.

@simplfred Oh I see. Sometimes that are the perks when being employed regular. Maybe if you have somehow self paying in SSS you can also get some benefit from it.

It is a tough situation to be. I have not been in financial crisis to that bad extent. But yes been in situation where I had to cancel or postpone things due to tight budget. But by God's grace, I always had enough for a decent living. May your bad phase pass soon.

It will always be tough to be out of money especially when you have a family and kids to feed. I hope you get back to your feet soon. I know you will. Just a quick question, why did the baby need intensive nursing? What happen if I may ask?

i had that experience while i was on standby mode for 3-4 whole months, or during summer break. i relied on my savings, deposits from the bank, and my earnings from this site.

@simplfred if you have a bank account, why not add it in your payPal account so you can withdraw it there?

I have some money on my PayPal account. Sadly, my account is not yet verified. I have thought of encashing it via Paypal encashier but upon reading some others experience about it. I stop myself.

Ever since I live my life independently, I cannot live without money in my pocket. I work hard and save for my future bills. But sometimes, I just can't help to dwell on debt. So loans are coming. Yes, I've been to this kind of situation. But whenever I pray too hard, help come to the rescue. It's proven to me.

I’m so sorry for that. It is understood because you have kids. And a week of stay in hospital will drain your wallet. No, we haven’t encountered that yet and we dont like to go through such, my husband and i have no kids so i know financially speaking, we have minimal problems. We just save for our old age and emergencies. But life is really hard especially for people with kids.
