"Get Em Guys", or so they attempted, and other such things of no real importance.

I was making dinner earlier (sweet potato, spanakopita and cheesy broccoli) when I saw three cats chasing a tiny little squirrel up the tree. I recognized (or thought I did) one of the cats, but the others must have been from other parts of the neighborhood. They were all tuxedo cats. I'm wondering if the chasing of the squirrel was some sort of initiation because one cat seemed to sit back and watch the others. Let's see, My Day: Woke up, made myself a cup of tea, drank it. Wrote a friend of mine a message about a dream I had last night. She was impressed, said I needed to make it into a story. I'm considering doing that and posting it to reddit. Thought that I might start doing that again, people can critique me and help me with my writing. Otherwise I've eaten food, watched the news, received the Presidential Alert, and did things online to make a litlte money. I've not read. I've not really cleaned (unless you count the dishes). I've had a bit of a lazy day. I've not gotten back to my notifications, and I should probably do that. I've not felt like it. Oh I did cash a check today, and bought cheese. So I guess I did more than I thought.

Well, you did accomplish something. That's a good thing. I had a real scare earlier so I am taking the day off.

I went grocery shopping for the week and then I cleaned the garden, because the neighbor has trimmed the hedge and some branches and leaves have fallen into my side.

A relatively quiet day then?

You accomplished more than me yesterday, and I was at work!

I relish slower work days.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I prefer busy, especially in the context of my role. Slow means boring and sleepy.

@Poppylicious I can understand that. When I was a banquet server, I wanted it to be busy. When I was an in home aide, there really was no such thing as busy, but there were things to entertain me. When I was a stock clerk, busy was good, but so was just sitting in the break room because you were done with everything.

I have to get notifications done too but have only had enough patience to get half of them done earlier.

I just haven't had the desire to get to them, though I've had the time.

@ScribbledAdNauseum that's what it is with me, the desire, and patience.

Early this morning I finish my notifications so that I won't end up cramming for it later.

I've been really slacking on my notifications for days!

@JustBhem I agree. Though when they get to be too long this is what I do: I delete all notifications for things on my discussions. I go through my discussions one by one and answer everything. Then I go back to the notifications and skim through for comments I need to respond to. It makes it easier.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I do sometimes too. But I don't want them to grow because it will be a lot to answers.

My day was pretty busy. I thought I heard the presidential alert today..but when I looked at the phone later I didn't see it..so maybe not! I am not sure your writing needs much of a critique. I think just getting published should really be your goal, but what do I know?? lol

I don't think a critique would hurt for sure. Of course, a writer is their own worst critic I received the alert but I know some people did not. There are people who have said this type of system now opens up our phones for the potentiality of being hacked. I say that that is possible but then we've alway gotten Amber Alarts and Flash Food / Weather Alerts so...

You had a very good meal and a good day. And some money from the check you cashed. Who could ask for anything more.

My son has two tuxedo cats which are still living with me. I adore them.

I think they are one of the prettier breeds. I have no cats of my own but one of the neighbor's other cats has adopted me. If I'm outside for an extended period of time she will come hang out with me.
