Going to bed early tonight

Well I wrote about all the lucky things over a few days so I'll update on the other things. Friday my son and I went to a bonfire at the school. My daughter went with her friend so I did meet up with them while we were there. The bonfire was a celebration for Homecoming. Saturday after shopping my daughter went to the homecoming dance with her friend. My boyfriends son went to the dance as well so it was just my son, my boyfriend and I for a few hours. Yesterday I spent most the day cleaning. My cat has been going to the bathroom more and so her litter box needs cleaning more. I forgot to scoop it before bed and she tracked cat litter and dirt paw prints all over. It has been one year to the day since we got our dog. My boyfriend and his son came over after dinner last night and spent the night. I got very little sleep. He snored for two hours then my son was overtired and miserable because he couldn't sleep so then he was crying and driving me nuts for the next two hours until he finally fell asleep. Before he went to bed I noticed something sticking out his dogs rectum. He didn't notice and rolled his eyes and shook his head at me. I said it looked like a hemeroid or something and so I sat there until the dog stood a certain way and then I pointed it out. Finally then he did see it. He said "I don't know I'm not a veterinarian". His dogs staying here for a week while he is on a camping trip with his friends and son. He thinks his dog was moping yesterday because she could sense he was leaving. They left at 4am. She has laid around most the day. She's eating but I'm thinking she doesn't feel good is why she is moping! Part of the reason I couldn't sleep last night was I was thinking up these worst case scenarios about his dog. As soon as he left at 4am I was googling anal issues images. The only thing that looked like what I saw was Perianal Gland Adenoma. I was laying there thinking he's hours and hours away for a week and I'm going to wake up and the dogs rectum will have fallen out and I'll have to rush her to the vet at my expense where he will say she needs immediate surgery for cancer and I will have no way to contact him as he is out of cell phone range in the Adirondacks. I was even picturing myself throwing the carpets out after the mess I was thinking she would have made of them. I woke up and her rectum looks fine so I was able to breath a little easier today. I really have a tendency to worry and overthink! Today my daughter had no school but my son did have cyber school. It was a fairly easy day for us thankfully and we are all caught up on his lessons. I'm off to bed now but will check in tomorrow.

I hope the dog is okay while your boyfriend is away. He doesn't sound very caring - the boyfriend, not the dog.

@JudyEv I'm not sure why he is so stubborn about this! She has a bloody anal seepage stuff again today so she is outside on a chain for the day. I don't think he has any antibiotic left to give her so maybe this time he will take her to the vet but I doubt it.

@RasmaSandra I agree. I'm hoping she doesn't get any worse or I will have to take her to the vet I take my animals to.

@RasmaSandra I am glad things went back to normal with her too but today she stinks and has bloody seepage there which she had a month ago and he wouldn't take her to the vet and gave her antibiotics!

@shaggin I would say the dog has to be taken to the vet.

Well thats certainly a worry. I wouldve made a quick trip to the vet after he left just to be safe and hopefully catch whatever it couldve been early. I obly went to my 10th grade homecoming, but it was mostly fun. (I was pregnant at it without knowing, lol)

@Courtlynn I think he will get mad and not pay me back if I take her to the vet. He has plenty of money but he won't take her to the vet. She has the nasty stinky odor today and the bloody seepage. I put her outside on the chain and will bring her in at night.

@Courtlynn things look better back there today. I am watching her closely and if things get worse I will have to take her. If she were my dog I would have had her to the vet already. All the things he wastes money on yet can't take proper care of his dog.

@shaggin honestly, who cares if he gets mad. if shes staying at your house, and he's also not being responsible pet owner by taking her when she needs to go, then someone needs to be responsible and take her.

@andriaperry my brother in law used to joke that I sat home eating bon-bons all day. With the way his family treats women I doubt he was really kidding.

If a dog hold its BM, this can be serious. Make sure it goes outdoors often, or it will get sick from this.

@kobesbuddy I have taken her out the usual times I take my dog out and have been cleaning up her stools and things look normal there. While she was having a BM I looked to see if there was any sign of a prolapse but things looked fine thankfully. She stinks and has the bloody seepage again like she had a month ago so she is outside on her chain for the day.

@kobesbuddy She was in heat once last December and will go into heat soon again. He insisted when her area back there was swollen and her rectum was stinking and bleeding that she was in heat . He will see soon when she really goes in heat that he was wrong!

@shaggin She's probably at the age when she will be vulnerable to having pups.

People who don't treat animals well, bug the heck out of me. My friend.is not a good pet owner and his dog is the sweetest too. He is a bit neglectful like that..and I hate it.

@snowy22315 I don't like taking my pets to the vet either because it's so costly and I myself won't go to the doctor or take my kids unless I think we won't get better on our own. But there are times when we HAVE to go to the doctor and when we HAVE to take our pets to the vet. So yes I am very irritated with his neglect of this dog as well.

Googling anal while your boyfriend is away might get you into alsorts of bother. It has me in the past.

I hope you can convince your boyfriend to take his dog to a vet, she could be in pain and be suffering and unless he is struggling financially I don't see why he would let his dog suffer like that. @shaggin I can understand why you didn't sleep with worrying about it.

@bluesa it looked like what I imagine a dog hemerrohoid would look like but when I looked it up online it didn't look like that. I have been watching her bowel movements and they don't look abnormal. I did notice the one day it looks like she prolapses slightly when she passed a BM. My daughter used to do that when she was a baby. When her constipation got very bad she had a full prolapse twice. Never again since then thankfully as it was so scary and painful for her. I gave his dog pumpkin to help with if it's anal glands not emptying and to help with if she is constipated and has hemerrohoids I'm wetting and soaking her dinner.

@DianneN I started wetting her dinner and giving her a tablespoon of pumpkin each day. I also gave her an antibiotic and she is doing better. He forgot to take the antibiotic home with him when he picked her up so I took it out to him today. I reminded him twice to make sure he has it with her dinner so hopefully he remembers.
