"I'm a-sittin` here, just a-gittin` ideas ... ain't nothin` but a fool could live like`iss ... Dang me, Dang me; They oughta take a rope an` hang me High from the highest treeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee; Oh woman, would you weep for me? "do-do-do-dooo do-do-do dow- dow- dowwwwww" One of the ideas I 'gat' was ... connected to the idea that 'we are Saved by the Name of Jesus.' http://preformus.blogspot.com/p/what-this-blogs-about.html Like I say on my blog's "mission-statement," I figured I'd see how the roots of 'That Name' connected to all the words. And I guess I learned something about language ... something-like 'its words are tools that people will use in whatever way works'---e.g. "Politics" originally meant 'the work of city-management,' but now it means something more like 'the public persona of campaigning government-officials' Or "Jay" (the type of bird, or my shortened first name); I used to think it was 'originally' a word for "a messenger of glad tidings" (like the bird welcomes the spring), but I heard that--back when newspapers decided to attach it to "-walker" to turn pedestrians into criminals--'Jay' was a slur (the way 'hick' & 'snob' & ... other words the myLot-censor might block ... are). So my mission (much like Adam "Adam Ruins Everything" Conover reminds us that people's use of 'everything' is what makes it bad-or-good) is to remind people that 'the language is bad-or-good because people use it badly-or-good ... -ly.'
