What Do You Do With Your Receipts?

I don’t know if most of us bother to keep those receipts after our purchase. For me, I’ll keep it for a while before throwing them especially for purchases paid in installments. Few days ago while rummaging old things; I saw some old receipts that haven’t thrown away. Most of them are not readable already because the receipts were made from thermal paper. That's wise. Yes, why not? Especially nowadays that the prices of commodities are soaring high.

I don't know if there's still a draw of receipt where one can win. I think there's a thing like that.

It's the BIR initiative. One way of encouraging consumers to ask for so that establishments are obliged to issue.

We throw away some that`s not needed but there are some with discounts so I keep it until we can use it when we buy something again at the same store

I think one has to ask only for that purpose but the signage telling us that we should so that the BIR could determine the actual sales of the establishment.

I never return most things I purchase so the receipts go into recycling after a month.

if the receipts uses a credit card then I will save it for 1 month, if not then I will immediately throw it away after getting the items that are in accordance with the receipts.

@ZedSmart as long if we leave the store it seems that the complaint does not apply here, before we leave the shop we must first confirm the items we buy.

@May2k8 It happen sometimes when you bought several items such as in the grocery store. We can't examine them one by one.

Yes, we should keep the ones especially those purchase by accounts. However, cash receipts can still be useful for future complain because if we say that we need to return some items, the shop would require us to produce the receipt.

I keep them during that month....but then throw away. I used to keep them so I could take pictures for receipt apps that would pay you for your receipts. I always forget to do it these days though.
